Ok, seriously, I don't think it is automatic that Lewis beats anyone smaller than him. Rocky had a very solid chin, outstanding stamina, an incredible punch, always in peak fighting condition, and a very consistant performer who allways found a way to win.

Lewis was possibly the best moving big man ever; combining that with his excellent jab, intellegence, and decent power resulted in the best heavyweight of his time. His weak chin, inconsistant performances, and a reluctance to train hard during portions of his career does raise doubt about his ability to beat the best heavyweights of other times.

It is an interesting proposition, matching one of the smallest great heavyweights against one of the largest.

Only in your biased mind Swag. Fact is Lewis would destroy Marciano. The size, power and reach differences were enormous. Even Tyson looked like a midget in the ring with Lewis, imagine how Marciano would look.

And btw, mythical matches are usually assumed to take the peak of each fighter, not the worst version of the fighter you don't like against the best version of any other fighter.

A more realistic matchup for Marciano is against Lewis victim Glen McCrory

Very tough call, but I'd go Rocky Marciano by late stoppage. If he works the body LL will be gassing and vulnerable by the later rounds. I think RM will have to get off the canvas to win this.

    A tough fight for RM.

I would bet my paycheck that Marciano did not hit as hard as Lewis. It's almost a joke to suggest otherwise.

Lennox would get crushed by the right hand, which he always had trouble against- hence why he preferred to fight those with a left hook (but nobody with the left hook of Frazier, whom I also favor heavily).

Throw in the awkwardness of angles, the incredible conditioning, and incredible recuperation ability, and it's game over for Lewis.

    Marciano KO9.

Lewis probably wins by throwing jabs at Marciano and clinching him the second he gets in range to even lunge. Rocky does better than Tua or shot Tyson, but not much better than old Holyfield. Lewis had a hard time finding shorter guys but he did neutralise them.

So what...if 60 pounds, 7 inches, and all time great standing is what takes to be favored over Rocky.

I do like Lewis. He's just not the God you're making him out to be.

Nor is he the glass jawed clown you're portraying him to be.

Never said he was God, I said I think he's in the Top5 H2H fighters, along with Ali, Holmes, Tyson, Foreman.

Certainly more reasonable then you obsessing with his supposed "glass jaw"

And like I said on another thread, I don't think he's anything all that special on a P4P basis, certainly no where near Holyfield, but H2h? That's a different story.

Marciano had, "incredible power". Lewis had only ,"decent power"?

Question. How many rounds to you think Don ****ell ,a 37years old Walcott ,Lastarza , and a 40 years old Moore go with Lewis?

    Lewis would knock Marciano senseless.

As much as I love Marciano I have to go with Lewis here. This would be a scenario where size really would matter. Lewis would have the luxury of fighting at a safe distance and smothering Rocky if he manages to get too close. Someone mentioned that Tyson looked like a midget next to Lewis and he did. Now imagine how Rocky would look next to Lennox...he was smaller than Tyson by 25-30 lbs. Too much height, reach and weight for Rocky to overcome not to mention the fact that Lennox could punch like a mule kicks. The best outcome I see for Rocky is a decision loss. The worst is a later round stoppage.
