"Which I dispute because his whole premise is that Lewis' chin is glass and that any and every ATG would KO him, which based on the evidence, you yourself have put forth, is pure nonsense. Whether some claim he fought the best punchers of all time is true or not, he certainly fought a number of bangers and won the vast majority of the time. This is indisputable."
Give us a break.. You've been starting thread after thread for weeks now picking multiple fighters to knock him out and using his "chin" as the very basis for that claim. Fvck, we should probably change this forum to " Lewis's chin.com"
Lewis’s chin? I have to take the middle ground on this one. Lewis’s chin was good enough, that it generally wouldn’t be bad enough to save you, if all you had was power. On the other hand, he did have the worst chin of any top ten all time heavyweight. It was an excellent chin by the standards of the heavyweight division, but compared to other heavyweights who got into the top 10-15, it was a plane of weakness.
That depends on who you have in your top 10-15... If Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey, Floyd Patterson and wladimir klitschko reside in that top 15 then Lewis certainly isn't the weakest chin wise.
Neither Frazier nor Dempsey fought anywhere near as many punchers.. Frazier got killed by the only elite hitter he faced.. Bonavena who I'd classify as "decent" but not "elite" had him down twice... Dempsey was Ko'd in one round by fireman Flynn... I might also as Tyson to the list if he's in your top 15
What a silly comment responding with anecdote to correlation. As a tendency, stronger fighters hit harder, bigger fighters hit harder.. provided we are talking about equals in all other athletic respects. And yes there are diminishing returns.
