This is one of those fights that I am glad never happened because sombody would have got seriously hurt.

Max has the stylistic advantage, but he would probably find a way to loose.

You think he was a greater puncher than Marciano?

I honestly think that Baer might have had the hardest punch and the best chin of all the lineal heavyweight champions.

Given what he had physicaly, you wonder how he ever managed to loose to some of the people he lost to.

I favor Marciano, though Baer has a chance.

I think most often than not, Marciano may walk out the winner. I belive Marciano had a bit more "iron will" in regards to winning.

That, plus Baers foibles, are likley to be the deciding factors.

That's my chance. Baer hits so hard and has a good style to take on Marciano, but I think Marciano would tough out the win.

They might both be physical wrecks at the end of it!

That might be the worst possible outcome.

There are some fights that should never have happened.

    Nelson Wolgast is one.

    Benn McClellan is one.

This could be a good candidate for being another.

    This would be horible!

They would be trading flush shots to the chin, rattling eachothers brains against the insides of their skulls.

Both either nearly or did kill a man in the ring.

Neither would be able to gain a decisive advantage for much of the fight.

Marciano's hand speed decimated Rex Layne. Rocky would also enjoy a clear hand speed advantage over Max. Galento, shorter than Marciano, was able to connect at times, and had his moments.

Rocky would never get discouraged if he hit Baer with his best shot and got laughed at. He was geared for going the championship distance if need be, and his 100 punch final round in Charles I is one of the most remarkable displays in HW Title history. If this somehow goes the distance (hardly unheard of with Maxie), there's no way Marciano gets outworked.

When Baer hit somebody with his Sunday Punch and they stood up to it (Uzcudun, Louis), he tended to lose heart a bit. He might drop Rocky, but not stop him.

  15. i would pick marciano basing on his heart but honestly i would not put my money on it. baer had the size, the reach, the right hand a the style to drop marciano tons of times. if rocky wins it would be a hell for him
