If prime Max comes seriously prepared he will beat Rocky. He's heavier, taller and a even heavier puncher in my opinion.

    Max by KO.

Why do people think Baer's right hand was more deadly than Marciano's suzy Q? Who did Baer ever knock out with one punch? Pat Comiskey?

Didn't Baer lose to a crouching fighter who was far less the puncher and fighter Marciano was in Paolino Uzcuden? Baer was dangerous, but Marciano was too. Marciano also had far more energy than Max Baer, was the all around much more skilled fighter, and was a lot tougher. Marciano was sucepitble to fast left hooks and short uppercuts, neither which Baer was dangerous with. Also, Marciano had the durability to take a few big baer right hands if need be. If Baer took a Marciano right hand, he could easily throw in the towel much like he did against Louis.

I strongly disagree with you Ramon Rojo. Seems you put way too much emphasis on Baer's size, when Baer lost to fighters of Marcianos size.

    Marciano KO 8

Marciano was a sharper puncher than Baer, but Baer's right hand was probably harder upon impact....

    IMO!

well maybe they think that because of frankie campbell and earnie schaaf ??
i think this one is a tough one to predict a victor.
like people already mentioned marciano has an advantage in mentallity and toughness. and yes rocky got up when floored for example by archie moore.
but i don't think rocky ever faced someone who hit as hard as maxie did.
i slightly favor max in this one but just slightly

He also holds huge advantages in skill, defense, all around punching ability, two fisted power, stamina, workrate, and arguably strength.

You really think Max Baer is good enough to beat a prime undefeated ATG heavyweight champion? I don't. Baer couldn't even beat the crouching Paolino Uzcuden. What makes you think Rocky would be stopped against a clown like Max Baer when he showed to possess a great chin and even better recup powers? If Baer doesn't put Rocky away, what makes you think Max could possibly outpoint Rocky when rocky has shown the ability to punch non stop in the late rounds including 100 + punch per round displays?

You think Rocky would lose to Jim Braddock, Paolino Uzcuden, Johnny Risko, Ernie Schaff?

You mean where he slugged both unmercifully while they were trapped against the ropes? Marciano did something similiar to 6'4 Carmine Vingo. What I want to know is when did Baer produce crunching one punch knockouts with his right hand against top level fighters like Rocky did to Layne and Walcott?

The only time Max Baer faced someone that was as hard hitting, relentless, and powerful as Marciano, he was destroyed in 4 one sided rounds by Joe Louis.

How? How could Max Baer ever defeat an ATG undefeated heavyweight champion? He is just not good enough

I would favour Marciano because he had an extreme fighter's mentality. Baer often admitted he wasn't really cut out for fighting. Marciano would fight til the last drop, and he became more determined at all times.

But when Baer was serious he was a mean and deadly fighter, and he took his licks too. He has the long arms and power to possibly give Rocky hell.
He really looked vicious against Schmeling. And his win over Carnera is underrated.

Rocky was not a 6'1 standup lean back counterpuncher like schmeling, nor was he a 6'6 punching bag like Carnera. Rocky was a crouching bobbing and weaving 5'11 fighter. Styles make fights. Baer got his ass handed to him by the 5'10 195lb crouching Uzcuden. That should be enough to know he could never beat Marciano.

I thought the Uzcudun fight was really close, many thought Baer deserved it, and Dempsey said he gave it to Uzcudun only because he looked less tired at the end ?

Marciano destroys him .. maybe Baer survives by hanging on for his life but Rocky beats him like Tyson beat Bonecrusher ..

Baer would be needing a people doctor after this one - although he'd definately get Marciano's attention with those big haymaking right hands of his

I like Max he was a great guy and i don't think he maximised his potential at all.

He wouldn't beat Marciano in a month of sundays. In a battle of grit and will Max wasn't at the races, Rocky would break him down.

Marciano would win he also punches harder. Although I do have a lot of respect for Baer's right.
