Heavyweight contest; who takes it? The awkward sharp shooting and odd combinations of Spinks befuddles and cuts Marciano, or the tenacious, accumulative punching of Marciano wears Spinks down? Both men have one shot power when they land right as well. If you feel a hypothetical light Heavyweight version of Spinks fares better with an extra ten lbs or so feel free to include this in your analysis.
All joking aside, I'd pick Spinks. His eccentric style, speed, and caginess would be pretty tough to beat, that is if he comes in around 200 pounds.
Rocky finds him eventually in the late rounds, and scores the stoppage while being slightly behind on the cards.
Feel like I'm in the TWILIGHT ZONE reading these posts. Spinks wouldn't be facing a short, determined, hard-hitting fighter, he'd be in with ROCKY MARCIANO.
:dealYou can bill all these guys for that reality check J.G.,....Marciano would kill Spinks...what the hell is everybody thinking?
Spinks would prove to ba an awkward customer for the first five or so rounds. After this,Marciano's pressure would start to tell, and he'd cut Spinks down by the ninth round. Rocky would be too strong for Michael.
John Garfield...We are both Marciano fans...I met him when I was a kid....what is your best memory of The Rock???
So many, RJ, don't know where to start: In the gym, in camp in the Catskills 'n ringside at all his fights in N.Y.
