Bigger puncher? Watch the Walcott one punch ko again and tell me pound for pound Tyson hits harder, because if we are going to fight in 1985, rocky is going to weigh 210+ and be ripped.
Chin? How many times was Tyson stopped? How many times was Rocky stopped?
Defense, agreed that Tyson's prime head movement was better, but Rocky was not a stationary target. Read about what his opponents said about him.

Stamina: Rocky is duracell. Tyson is one of those cheap Chinese batteries that can't even start a digital camera.

This is only a blowout if you're a Tyson nuthugger. Rocky never lost. That is not an intangible, that is fact. Tyson lost to Buster Douglas. Buster f--king Douglas.

I'm not saying that Tyson couldn't KO Rocky in a round. He did it to a lot of decent fighters. But you can't say with any certainty that he could beat Marciano, who never lost, never took a step back against any mam he faced, in a strong boxing era.

 

before 99 when did you see tyson tired in a fight? name 1 fight i dare you there isn't one , he went 10 rd before going down to buster , 11 with holy went 12 with ruddock went 10 with green 12 with smith 12 with tucker tko'd Ribalta in the 10th gtfo wit the whole tyson has bad cardio bs his chin was solid so was his stamina

 

90 percent of the guys rocky fought were 200lbs or less , and if this fight happened in 1985 rocky wouldn't be 210 ripped nutcase he would be 185 just like in his day he was a naturally smaller man in all areas meaning his frame , what the hell makes you think he would weigh 210ripped that doesn't make sense

 

who was on rockys résumé that would trouble tyson? i already mentioned the ppl on tysons rocky couldn't beat if mike fought the ppl rocky fought he would be bigger then them all and be 49-0 as well with most likely a better ko ratio as well

 

You're ******ed. Seriously. Half you guys are plain ****ing stupid. Marciano came in sub 180 from time to time. His 'great' fights came against light heavyweights, a few of whom had been as low as MW. His 'great' era was during a period when Frankie Carbo decided who the champ was at least as much as what happened in the ring. Giving him so much credit for tough fights with Moore, Charles etc would be like giving Ali super credit for struggling with Bob Foster, except Ali didn't struggle with him. He got rid of him like a heavyweight champion should.

I mean.. this is like an idiot test. If you think a smaller, slower and less versatile dude gets in the ring and survives with a prime Tyson, then just stop ****ing posting as if you have some knowledge that you need to share. You don't.

 

because of the 49-0 and his durability and heart power and ability to comeback i have a tough time picking against him in fantasy fights

but tyson at his best was a special fighter who to me doesnt lose to too many guys

 

Tyson would absolutely obliterate the slower, smaller and less powerful poor guy.

 

Watch the Botha fight then. Walcott was probably tired after outboxing Marciano for so many rounds, whereas Tyson ended the still fresh Bothas night with the first decent punch he landed. Again P4P doesnt mean **** in this fight.

Marciano didnt fight guys the size that Tyson did.

Tyson only showed tiredness in the second half of his career and that was after 5 years in prison. But it wouldnt matter in this fight because Marciano would be sleeping well before. Tyson certainly went the distance with Razor Ruddock, a guy who was bigger and stronger than Marciano and probably hit just as hard. Tyson pushed his **** in for him.

Rocky never lost, doesnt mean hes invincible. I think youll find, all fighters are undefeated, until they lose

Im still waiting for someone to explain to me how Marciano is going to win this fight? I guess hes just going to walk through Tysons punches right? round after round hes just going to keep taking Tysons punches, then Tyson will tire and Marciano will take over

Tyson would beat Rocky up pretty bad im afraid

 

A faded Tyson, seventeen years out of his prime, lasted into the eighth round against Lennox Lewis. Tyson had a chin even then and could take a punch well due to his neck size and training. Rocky isn’t obliterating him with a few select punches.

Marciano at 5’10’ and 185 pounds isn’t going to be able muscle Tyson 5’10 and 218 pounds onto his back foot easily and certainly without getting hit multiple times.

Marciano had a 68 inch reach versus Tysons 71 inch reach as would have to get within mid range, where Tyson thrived.

Due to Tysons speed, power and head movement in his prime, along with other physical advantages like the amount of fast twitch muscle he possessed, I just can’t see how Marciano wins.

The blueprint for beating Tyson was to put him on the back foot and fire at range: See Buster Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis etc. This wasn’t Marciano at all.

 

Marciano never met a finisher like Tyson, Rocky was too light to fight Tyson, he didn`t have Tyson`s power, Mike was better in every department.

 

Tyson was a more accurate puncher than Marciano and a better combo puncher.

Marciano is a legend and a great boxer but he isn't going to survive Tyson ... He's outclassed here

Tyson has every advantage except stamina and heart ... But heart and stamina won't help Marciano in front of the Tyson onslaught
