Rocky Marciano vs Mike Tyson

You don´t need to ask in the General Boxing Forum who wins between 2 ATg´s when Marciano is in too, he´s one of the most hated here, 80 % here even thinks that Fields or Valuev would easily KO him because both are so big whether he was so "small", Tyson, one of the most overrated figthers who never beat a great fighter in his prime, is so heavily favoured here, that says all...

 

Only great fighters like Kevin Mc Bride can make Tyson quit on his stool.

I don't think Tyson hits harder. Just cause a guy weighs more does not make him harder hitter than another guy.

 

Marciano was a tough 5 10 185 pound guy that knew how to put every pound of it into his punch, his chin was strong also. Its doubtful mike intimidates rock, what people dont understand about rocky he was a clumsy guy who possed alot less skill than mike. In my opinion Mike was just too skilled for rocky thats the difference, I see Mike having his way with him until he eventually stops him late in fight.

 

If an old Archie Moore could knock down and almost win over Rocky. What do You really think a prime Mike Tyson would do to him?

People talk about "weathering the storm" and "intangibles" like its a power bar that gives you energy mid fight. Even if Marciano lasts until the 6th round his intangibles arent going to make him all of a sudden more accurate, more elusive or less immune to damage. His intagibles simply means that he will do everything in his power to win even if in the most dire circumstances. Intangibles come in to play when its a closely even match up. But in this case Rocky presents no stylistic advantage other than "intangibles" that would give Mike trouble.

Tyson fell on his butt after missing a punch against Staewrt and he was knocked down in the 6th by Holy. Holy punching is decent but he has never been known for being a ppower puncher.

 

****ing bunch of morons...Marciano had a good chin and good power with his haymakers..Mike is not getting hit by haymakers...Rock had no real defense and was open to be countered....Tyson would land a vicious combo and but him down. Tyson had more power...b/c he had more speed and power combination and was a precision puncher...short..crisp hard ass shots...if he didnt we would not be talking about Mike right now.

outbox him...tony tucker,ruddock he went to the jab somthing surprising after 7 rounds tyson gets tired and the combo punching just wont work. he will jab and move i hae seen it happen lewis had problems getting past tysons jab.

A 185 pound Marciano cannot stand up to Tyson. What's he gonna do? Box effectively and use his jab to keep Mike off?

And give Marciano the gloves Tyson had to use and his power is severely depleted. Give Tyson the gloves that Marciano used, and Marciano will die.

Seriously, he'd probably die.
