You have Tyson being dropped in the 3rd by Marciano. Tyson was never floored that early. Not by Lewis, Ruddock, Smith, Bruno, Golota who were all big punchers didn't drop Tyson by round 3. I can't say how hard Rocky hit compared to the above named, but he did seem to punch well above his weight. But I doubt he hit HARDER than the above named.

Totally agree but for one thing. If Mike lands a good one early there wouldn’t be enough time for it to be brutal. But it would be brutal for Rocky’s record. That one 0 would sink his ranking faster than it unfortunately sank Spinks. That 49-0 is the only reason his name still comes up when talking about ATG’s. If his record ever had a loss on it he’d be much lower. Ingemar and Bowe come close to how he’d be viewed in terms of top 10.

    For the 100000000 time.....

You cannot meet Tyson head on, Douglas did not vs Prime Tyson, Holyfield did not vs a washed up Tyson and Lewis did not vs the Ghost of Tyson..................yet Marciano would come head on that is his style and gets butchered quick, Tyson is too fast of hand and foot,,too good of a chin, too elusive, too much power in both hands text book style. Marciano gets butchered.in a one way battle.

Marciano was put on his azz by old Journeyman Walcott and had to come from behind to win his title.

Tyson wasted B level Berbick in one sided fashion quickl;y while winning his first title.

Marciano was marked/bruised up by a one armed Louis impersonater in his last fight ever until he scored the KO.

Tyson handed old Holmes his only KO loss ever without getting touched despite fighting on for years vs Top opposition including Holyfield and McCall who had to settle for a decision win.

La Starza and Cockell survive 2/3 rounds combined best case scenerio vs Tyson...................it took Marciano 20 rounds.......

Heart ? Corrales had heart......Gatti had heart......did not make a f'n difference when they met the superior fighter in Mayweather and the same would happen here, brutal stoppage loss for Marciano and quick too.

You haven't really refuted my point though. Rocky could throw 80+ punches a round and do that for 15 rounds, thats difficult to defend 'full-sized' heavy or not.

Tyson could only fight one way too...
    What's your point?

I would give IQ, body punching and ferocity to Rocky.
Timing, versatility and footwork would be about even imo, they both had uninteresting but effective footwork and they both only really had one way of fighting.

Rocky could fight defensively, but it was very awkward and mechanic.

Holmes hadn’t won a fight in three years when he faced Tyson. Only great win was Spinks who hadn’t had a fight in a year and looked scared to death. But keep on keeping on w the lies. “All prime heavies” joke

yes, Holmes was not in the rhythm of the fight. If he was in the rhythm of the fight, he would probably destroy Mike just like he destroyed Berbick in 1981 or Williams and Spinks in 1985 ;) I don't remember how much time Tyson needed on all of them in total... 10 minutes? Holmes couldn't do anything to them for 3 hours, Mike only needed a few minutes for each of them, including the judge's counting ;)!

Knocking someone down isn't just about punching power. Does Muhammad Ali hit harder than Joe Frazier because he knocked down Oscar Bonavaena? If you read what I posted, Rocky caught Tyson with an awkward shot because he isn't used to fighting people shorter than him. I drew some inspiration from the Buster Mathis Jr fight and how awkward Tyson looked. It was a flash knockdown and Tyson was up at 2 in case you didn't read that either. He was more surprised than hurt. Happens to everyone.

Smith and Bruno held onto Tyson for 2 minutes of every round and barely let their hands go. Smith is also incredibly overrated and doesn't have many good KO wins. They fought scared and timid despite being significantly larger.

Golota barely landed a single punch, Tyson demolished him and made it look easy. Did you even watch the fight?

Lewis was taking his time and how own trainer was yelling at him telling him to let his hands go. I do not think Rocky hit harder than Lewis, but I do think if Lewis went for it, he could've dropped Tyson earlier.

The only reason you object is because you're a Tyson fanboy. There isn't anything crazy or illogical about a guy as relentless and hard hitting as Rocky scoring a flash knockdown on an off guard Tyson. Rocky was never KOd at all and is better and more durable than anyone Tyson KOd, but I wrote Tyson brutally stopping him in just 3 rounds, winning every round but that's apparently not good enough lol.

You can't sit there and tell me you've watched Rocky vs Louis or Moore and tell me you think his timing was as good as Tyson's. Rocky would literally miss by whole FEET as he swing wild bombs.

Tyson's body punches were significantly more precise and effective.

One negative about Marciano was he was extremely inaccurate. He didn’t really care where he hit u but he wasn’t accurate. Those punch stats u guys hate back that up as well. Tyson didn’t throw half as many punches as Rocky but he connected at a much higher rate.

We actually agree on this, Rocky was inaccurate but very busy and threw punches relentlessly even if you blocked or the only thing available where shoulders, biceps, etc. he didn't care.
