I think it was more than 2 actually. Even his own brother mentioned how clumsy and awkward he could get even when he had more than 10 pro fights under his belt. It took a long time for him to get proper balance, leverage, and timing, and even when he was champ he could still get wild.

 

Which fights did he throw 80+ punches a round,for 15 rds?
That gives a total of1200 punches thrown by one man.

Ur such a fraud u even left off Don C because he was over 200 and prime. My initial point was directed at ur assertion that he all out of prime guys and LHWs. Now that ur caught on the bs u can’t even admit their opponents were of the same age.
Modern size means nothing. U say it like it’s an accomplishment. this is a sport of skill not determined by the scale. Marciano beat his version of modern HWs where they all fought using the same workout methods. They were all lighter because of diet and different training methods. Even the heavier ones would be the lightest in the division today.

 

I left off Cockell 27 because he was not prime and neither was he good, he was a fat lhvy who had no business being in there.His prime was as a Euro level Lhvy .

I say modern sized mean men around 6 ft 3 in and over ,who are 212 /240 without being fat.
Modern sized does not mean a five feet ten ex lhvy whose metabolism changed after a bout of glandular fever and left him over 200lbs with 3 rolls of fat around his belly and an arse and legs like Happy Humphrey McBride.
Nor does it mean 2 aging lhvy's 5 'ft 11in and 6ft scaling188lbs, or a 192lbs 6ft, 38 years old man 1 fight away from retirement.
Nor a 6ft 185lbs,punchless, protected fighter who dodged all the iron in his division his whole career.

Rocky fans are physically incapable of admitting he faced few prime skilled opponents and even fewer modern sized opponents.

 

Yeah, he missed Archie Moore many times while Moore was on the ropes.

 

I just rewatched the Tyson vs Mathis Jr fight in case I missed something, Tyson was never down in that fight.

Rocky didn't drop Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore or Harry Matthews in 3 rounds, not even for a flash knockdown. None of whom, even at their absolute peaks were as durable as Tyson. There's no historical record of Tyson even being flash knocked down by round 3. Plus, Rocky would be missing alot of the punches being thrown.

There is historical record of say, Lennox Lewis being stopped by single flush shots. So because that actually happened twice IRL, would it be realistic to think that Rocky KO's Lewis?

 

Malik Abdul Aziz would have an advantage early in the fight but if he doesn’t stop Marciano quickly it’s going to be hell on wheels for him.
