I believe Usyk would give Rocky a tougher fight than most will give him credit but in the end he's going to get caught by one of Rocky's bombs and when he does he isn't getting up off the canvas for at least half a minute.

 

I seriously think Usyk clowns him over 12. Too big, too mobile, too many angles, too fresh and not nearly ancient enough for The Rock's liking.

The only guy with the lateral skills and great timing that Marciano faced was in a very shopworn Walcott... and then it was only that Joe's pins gave out in late rounds. Usyk doesn't seem to have that problem yet.

What's with your obsession with Marciano's opponent age? You know he fought only 3 old people right?

-Walcott (still great fighter, great showing against Marciano, reigning heavyweight champ)

-Moore (#1 contender, knocked out multiple big men to get to Marciano, continued to reign as LHW champ for next 5 years)

-Louis (literally the greatest heavyweight champion of all time, though yes, he was past prime).

Marciano's average opponent didn't even break 30

Usyk has NEVER fought someone with Marciano's pace, nor has he fought someone with Marciano's power.

Usyk is 198lbs, only 5lbs more than marciano's average opponent. Walcott, for an example, was 196lbs when he fought Marciano. Only 2lbs less. Marciano knocked Walcott out in the 1st round. What does that say for Usyk?

Usyk does not even have the boxing ability / ring generalship of Walcott / Charles. Both KO victims of Marciano.

Usyk cuts weight to make cruiser. He’s not 198lbs in the ring.

I reckon he’d beat everyone Marciano beat at the time he beat them.

A more interesting matchup would be Marciano vs. Briedis or Marciano vs. Gassiev.

Cockell was a good 25lbs over his best weight at 205lbs.
For the second fight Charles was 192.5lbs ,7.5lbs heavier than for their 1st encounter,anyone think he was better at that weight?
