Bent lost 1 of his first 12 fights and then beat Tommy Morrison and immediately after that big win he lost in his second loss against Hide and then Bowe beat Hide and in addition to that he gave Hide his first loss so it doesn't diminish Bowes win but it diminishes Bentts legacy for loosing to Hide

I believe Bentt went into the bout with a brain injury but I may be wrong.

Yes. Dwayne Bobick was probably better.

But morrison beat old Foreman and Ruddock though. His loss doesn't erase those wins

Most people feel old Foreman lost to Schulz. Not sure that's a huge accomplishment really.

The loss to Bent was a matter if Morrison stupidly walking in wild and blind and getting caught .. he totally underrated Bent and got caught early .. Bobick was painfully slow, easy to hit and had a average chin. Morrison would have crushed him fast ..

They are probably not so far apart. It was Herbie Hide who I said was only about as good as Dwayne Bobick. He probably was t even that good. Bentt was barely a flash in the pan who only ever had 12 fights.

Morrison was rubbish but he might well be able to beat Bobick.

I think you are right. I just tried watching Bobick vs young Stanford. Managed by Frazier and trained By Eddie Futch. Strong kid but ate too much leather.

Hide was much faster and a much harder puncher than Bobick. Did you ever see Duane Bobick fight ? He was simply a plodder, halfway decent fundamentals but terribly slow, slow starting and with a average at best chin.

Bobick and Hide are Two completely different fighters of a Similar level. It doesn’t matter who you think was better. They both maxed out below championship elite level.

The WBO title bore no relation to who the best in the world was. It was a fringe level spot in the ratings during that decade. It was the equivalent of number 8 or something in a decent rating system.
