    1941 Joe Louis
    1952 Archie Moore
    1949 Ezzard Charles
    1947 Jersey Joe Walcott

    Does he clear the list?

    Thats tough to say.

I do think there are some either-ways.

Moore was still campaigning at LHW in 52 mostly, right?

Honestly 0-4. Wins 3 rounds in none of these contests.

At this point Moore only went to 175 for his title fights. Most of his fights were at HW.

I’m afraid the only one Rocky beats for sure is Archie. I can’t see the 52 Archie doing much better than the 55 Archie. It’s a little closer but Rock wins one way or another.

41 Louis too much for Rock. He fights hard but the punches are powerful and come in combinations. Rocks not trying to coverup so it’s a brawl and gets in some shots buts it’s over within 5. If he crowds and try’s to coverup early he might last some rounds longer but we re assuming this isn’t the first fight Louis vs Godoy an opponent that fought much like Marciano it is the second fight version. If you don’t know what I mean watch their second fight.

49 Charles decisively defeated the 49 Walcott. He’s going to be a quicker squirmier Ezzard. Could be Rocky can’t find him as he did in 55 and absorbs more punches.
Rocky could still win but I d have to take Charles in a close decision.

47 Walcott would be more dangerous than the 52 version who was giving Rocky a rough time and was well ahead till he got nailed. This now would be the J Joe that probably beat the great Joe Louis decked him twice with lightening quick power shots. This time Jersey Joe beats the Rock who fights his heart out but comes up short.

    Louis beats him into jelly.
    He beats Archie.
My gut ... and it may be the fish sandwich I had for lunch ... tells me he'll split with the other two.

To be fair, Marciano is superior to Godoy in every way.

Godoy fought against Louis out of an extreme crouch. The difference being he was fighting to last the distance. In the rematch he had to punch more and take chances if he wanted the title.
Rocky would be more dangerous than Godoy but he would also give Louis more chances to catch him.

No he most certainly is not.

Godoy won a fight with Tommy Loughran.

I'd favor Louis, hardly a completely foregone conclusion tho. I'd take him to gut it out down the stretch over the other three in very tough encounters.

Yes it’s kill or be killed and Rocky’s a little out gunned here. If we could run it 10 times 9 its Louis standing over him at the end.
I would disagree about Godoy only trying to survive it was a split decision.
