Rocky Marciano vs the following

I´ve watched the Louis fight right now having a meal. He had no legs and was not able to keep the distance from Rocky. Couldn´t snap on the inside either as he used to do in his better days. Maybe he wanted to prove something in there, I don´t know. But not beeing able to move backwards punching, as well as not winning on the inside, was no gameplan that night. He was far from elusive on mid distance either, fighting a guy swinging wildly....

No, Louis wasn´t the quality fighter he used to be in the old days.

 

Last fight Louis beats Lyle imo.

I think he beats up Oscar who had nowhere near Rocky's heart in a tough fight .. the question about the other two is while neither is close to him as a force he is so much smaller .. Bugner with huge size advantage and an iron chin might outpoint him based on the ref and what he allows .. Lyle again so much bigger .. Rocky was not a counter puncher like Quarry who could shift gears but a swarmer who went to over power his guys .. I just don't know ..

 

Honestly last fight Louis would beat Bugner and would 50/50 Bonavena

Lyle stops him but it's not easy. Do remember he was knocked out by '75 Ali, who was beginning to develop Parkinson's

 

He had no right hand.He said himself he was doing okay until the 5th then his legs went.
Marciano could not have been more gracious towards him after the fight ,and years later said he got an old Louis.Marciano was a class act.

No, I'm recognizing that older Louis beat a top 10 contender in Brion, a p4p legend in Bivins, won rounds against prime Ezzard Charles who's a top 15 heavyweight and p4p top 10, and somehow lasted 8 rounds against arguably the greatest heavyweight to ever lace the gloves up, and p4p legend, just a little undeveloped in defense. (Though I rank him 3rd at heavy.)

One of the greatest CW/HWs of all time took 8 rounds in a competitive fight to put him away.
