You need to watch the entire fights and not culled, selected highlight vids on youtube. Marciano ate a lot of punches. He was harder to hit than he appeared but that is really saying very little because he appeared be like a 7-11, open all day.

Keep putting up faces and silly yawns that's really a debate winner.

What fights do you propose highlight a "(7-11)" defense in their entirety?

No I've never seen him, this 6'6" 220lbs monster who had the defensive capabilities of Willie Pep,and the power to knock out a water buffalo ,[but not Don C*ckell for 9 rds].Educate me because I didn't start watching his fights until the 1960's.If Emanuel Steward was still alive you could put him straight too because he had this ridiculous idea Marciano was pretty slow, had bad balance and was too small for today's big heavyweights, but what would he know?

And how did they know Holyfield's best weight at HW???? Fact is Marciano would bulk up to make HW.

Even if Marciano put on 30 lbs, at 5'10", 215 he'd STILL be too small today

Very likely yes but he'd have a better chance, against the regular sized great HW'S a much better chance.

Fact is the maker of this thread has asked for Marciano to be evaluated in head to head matchups with the champions that followed him. They as they actually were and Marciano as he actually was.
The problem with several on here is they can't bring themselves to face the conclusion that he would be too small to be competitive with most of those heavyweight champions. They therefore sidestep the question entirely and introduce the own agenda led criteria. It's not only pathetic, but rather sad.

Assuming he could even carry that weight in a way that's beneficial to him. Not everyone has the frame to carry 215 lbs well and still be mobile, athletic and have good stamina. If that were the case then Ray Leonard would have fought Holmes.

You actually think beating that 37 year old faded version of Louis is an indication of anything ?
