Patterson/Ingo/Norton/Spinks win by KO, but he beats Liston, Foreman, Bowe, Tyson?

I thought the Rockista Brain Virus Plague had been erdicated? Did it spread again?

Reading isn’t your strong suit huh?
reading isn’t your strong suit huh? Losses to Bowe by decision. Wlad was Koed by bums so it’s no stretch happens again. Vitali quit against Byrd no stretch there. And Liston and Tyson despite fan boys love for them were very beatable. If you tell me buster Douglas would beat Rocky you’re not even worth having a convo with.

What a gibberish. So he beats: Klitschkos, Lewis, Liston, Douglas and maybe Holmes?

Yap I think we better stop here with a conversation. Can someone call a doc and phone the plague office? It has been spread again. Others will follow :(

If Holyfield can last with the heavies Marciano who was stronger , better chin and had better endurance (that’s saying something) it’s suddenly isn’t a stretch to think he wins many of these fights. If you actually watched his fights you’d probably know this.

You’d know he was great at cutting off the ring. Had knock out power with either hand. Could fight at a distance despite his height and was a monster on the inside. Could knock you out in the first or fifteenth. He had balance issues and easily cut. Early on in his career he was really wild but towards the end was an excellent swarmer and picked his shots better. Wasn’t perfect and wouldn’t win everyone but most of the greats he’d win. Human evolution has not occurred over the last hundred years so pump rock up w some PEDs and he’d be even better. Or take them away from the bums today and see what happens.

welcome to the forum. Everything you state stands up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with picking Rocky to beat modern fighters using legitimate examples in the way you have. Unfortunately there is a generation out there who aggressively believe nobody should ever disagree with them and it is not just restricted to boxing history.

But the size gap between Ali and Marciano is significant.
Four and a half inches in height ,30pounds in weight,12 inches in reach ,and light years in speed and mobility!

Holyfield is nearly 4 inches taller then Rocky significantly heavier and I'm pretty sure stronger, since he man- handled Tyson!
A generation? How do you know what ages those who think Rocky is seriously disadvantaged against modern super heavies are?
Is Seamus my age? H. E .Grant?
Posters from across the age spectrum ,after giving Marciano his just due, have expressed serious reservations about his ability to handle modern heavies.
I'm happy for people to disagree with me if they can present a coherent and persuasive argument, but statements like he would find a way ,and six foot six, heavy hitting guys with skills, weighing 240lbs would be at a disadvantage because of Rockys short stature and arms don't cut it I'm afraid!
Your statement more aptly fits yourself and those like you who perceive any criticism of their icon as heresy and hatred.

Ali has30+pounds on Rocky 4.5inches in height ,12 in reach, a huge speed advantage in both hands and feet, far superior reflexes and agility, much better cut resistance and a proven top chin.
Ali would be giving up 20+ pounds and 3 inches in height to modern heavies.Rocky 8.5 inches in height, and 60pounds, plus he does not have the significant speed advantage Ali would possess. Ali stopped 220lbs 6 '3" heavies who were prime .
Marciano stopped men nearly 40years old, weighing under 200lbs.

Buster Douglas, the night he beat Tyson would be very competitive with any heavyweight who ever lived.imo
Guess that's me off your Xmas card list too.

I believe a man 215/220 6'3" is big enough for anyone,if he is good enough!
I do not hold the same belief about a man 185lbs 5'10.5"
