LaStarza was a defensive boxer, one of the best in his generation (he was undefeated in their first fight), and had an iron chin. Marciano was also not in the right mindset, as he almost killed Carmine Vingo in his last fight.

Lowry had a GRANITE chin (68 loses with only 3 coming by way of knockout), and had a style that infuriated Marciano. Also the fights were early in Marciano's career, with the first one coming before he had even fought Carmine Vingo, which is considered to be Marciano's first big fight. Marciano was little more than a wild puncher at that point.

Marciano has never even been hurt in his career, both of his knockdowns were balance issues that lasted 3 seconds. And he fought big punchers like Joe Walcott, Johnny Shkor and Rex Layne in their primes.

Joe Louis said Marciano was the hardest puncher he ever faced, so did Joe Walcott. Even sparring partners said Marciano hit harder than Joe Louis. Dempsey said he was the hardest puncher he ever saw, and the overhand right he landed against Walcott in their first fight is considered by many as the most brutal knockout ever. Ali said that when he was joking around with a late 40s year old Marciano, his arms were sore just from joking with him. He literally chipped the bones in Roland LaStarza's arms in the second fight, and knocked out Rex Layne's front teeth in one punch

He had Dempsey-esk, Shavers-esk, Julian Jackson-esk power that came from both hands and could devastate any fighter of any weight class, and the greatest stamina of any heavyweight ever.

But continue believing what you want to believe, since I know I cant change your mind.

Tyson was a good ways over the ideal weight for his height according to modern Healthy weight charts.

Being 5’9" and 200lb if you check most BMI charts is considered an unhealthy weight. In some of the more generous charts 184lb is considered the absolute maximum for a 5'9" man in his late 30s. A 5'9" 20 year old should be no more than 174lb.

Even making allowances for exceptions to a rule, before the modern era, it is unusual for old time top athletes to fall outside of these kinds of charts.

For a short fighter it seems only a deliberate effort to create artificial mass could maintain that kind of weight for that height (and increase it further) whilst training and running like a full time athlete. Even If it were natural the weight would go only in one direction rather than up and down can it did for Orlin Norris a similar sized contemporary of Tyson.

Athletes are simply trained and developed differently now. Bodybuilding is now an accepted dimension to Modern training.

Marciano was not a tub of lard at 220 lmao. When he retired sure but prior no. Tyson no roids is nowhere near that weight. I also called the fighters of the last 15-20 years fat. Don’t consider Tyson in the fat guy era. Just roided up.

I think it’s ok to accept Walcott and Moore knocked Marciano down legitimately. The two of them were all time punchers and could conceivably knockdown and knockout other great fighters from more modern times too.

Also, I doubt Shkor was at his best, but certainly it doesn’t detract from that kind of win. Rocky proved he could hammer that sized guy and this fact upsets fans of modern agendas.

Marciano was as human as any other great fighter. I agree with all other points.

LOL, any proof Tyson was on roids ?

Marciano was on roids, how about that ?

BTW, marciano was 250 plus after he retired , crash dieted for the fake Ali comp fight and ballooned up even worse afterwards.

On a further note, Tyson would catapult Marcianos head into the cheap seats..........Marciano has zero chance of beating a Tyson fireing on all cylinders. ZERO.......Foreman, lol, Frazier would have looked competitive in comparison to Marciano.
