You can't take this stuff too seriously, fans are fans but they're not all the same.

Why is this even a thread?

Marciano is one of the GOATs. Tomasz Adamek just got KTFO

    He probably would.

Going back to the discussion earlier in the thread; Adamek does have the edge in boxing skill and overall mobility. Marciano also had trouble with boxers, or guys who could play that role, but he would catch up to Adamek eventually, even though it took him 20 rounds to catch up to La Starza and he may have lost the first fight to him.

Adamek beaten great HW fighters in Golota,Arreola, and Estrada.

So of course Adamek over Marciano.

This is an accurate description of what Ive seen of the Rock.

My point is that Adamek, who has a similar style to Marciano, has the skills to adapt a new approach (stick and move) when the fights call for it (Heavyweight debut, Arreola fight). This adaptability is something that IMO Rocky lacked.

Would it make the difference in their fight? Probably not, Rocky won many a war with bigger and stronger fighters than Adamek.

I disagree, Marciano is not known for his skills as much as his toughness, stamina, will, and to a lesser extent knockout power.

See my previous post for a more in depth review.

Would be interesting fight. Marciano hit like a mule kicks! He never stopped punching and trained harder than any champion in boxing history.

Good post. Marciano doesnt land powerful clean punch on the jaw until Adamek is fresh, when he eventually lands one, Adamek gets up and clinches. Then when Adamek has stamina issues later in a fight, he gets stopped by the referee.

Whats more, I want to say that its too early for such threads. Adamek would always be a huge underdog, until he beats one of the champions (Klits, Haye). If Adamek outpoints Haye (big puncher), then such a thread makes sense.

Even when concidered todays boxers are bigger, stronger, better trained as the oldies I have to go for Rocky in this one. If you've seen how Tomasz was handeling the attacks of Jason and Chris I guess he will do very bad against a hard hitting swarmer. And Rocky was the ultimate hard hitting swarmer in his era, with huge heart, chin and kept on coming. No way Adamek can handle that!

If today's heavyweights are better trained, I have no idea why they are so morbidly obese so often.
