Rocky Marciano vs Tony Tubbs

Tubbs couldn't avoid the inside fight with Tyson. Marciano takes him out in 7 or less.

 

To Tubbs credit, he did well in the first round, he didn't run he stood toe to toe (which contributed to his early demise).

Is this is another thread where Marciano gets a default victory because anything Tyson can do Marciano could do better?

 

Tubbs was ranked top 10 in 85-86 with his highest ranking at 4. Tyson got him out early. He would be vulnerable to Marciano over all 15 rounds.

 

My thinking is that if Tubbs can be crowded by a small guy, he won't have a good time fighting Rocky.

He would be a handful for Marciano and smother him along the ropes by leaning on him ..setting up a late round win

Nobody can. Not even Ali or Johnson. Except they can do things on the inside that Tony Tubbs cannot.

 

What makes you so certain that mobile 6'3 men with jabs and speed couldn't avoid fighting Marciano on the inside?
