Before you folks draw breath to start trashing Fury's resume remember that Marciano was a club circuit fighter for 85% of his career before briefly raising his head to the elite, which in his day was populated with geriatrics and white dopes like Matthews and Layne. Joe Mesi, let alone Tyson Fury, would have dominated such an era.

But again, as a Public Service Announcement, Do Not Hold You Breath Waiting for Another Slow, Tiny, Unathletic Heavyweight of Rocky's Dimensions to Dominate the Division.

Don Turner put that right with his analysis.

Yes they would still be 6’5” Without supplements but with thinner arms, longer necks and protruding Adam’s apples they would be less suitable for boxing.

    Yeah
    The pads are bull****.
    You cant overtrain.
    Ward is an ordinary fighter.
Mayweather would be a 6 rounder back in the day.
Marciano could beat both the Klits the same night.
I was trained by Charlie Goldman

    And twats believe him.

BS - look certain people just don't like a guy for what ever reason- there are a few on here that feel that way about Marciano- I see it in politics - some people have a fixed opinion against someone no matter what they do the hatred won't go away.

Marciano was one of a kind as was Sam Langford and Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis and Ali but opinion and bias against him really doesn't matter because he dominated an era with great experienced fighters who beat many contenders to be #1 contenders. There was one title holder. Like you said before a few keyboard scientists that dislike his style or his size or his race or nationality are not going to change this 49-0 43 KO's defended 5 times vs his #1 contender, always rematched tough fights. Fought the best of his day. ATG

As far as talking about who would win in fantasy matchup and time machine dreams its just talk - I've seen guys picking wrong on future fights all the time- against Fury and Joshua in their last fights - I seen people say Joshua was the greatest ever until he lost to stubby Andy So if you can't pick fights in the present how sure can pick a winner 60-100 years ago and now.

When we get those time machines we may find out and many keyboard scientists may be surprised myself included- Until then I think many keyboard Scientist may have keep track of their current picks and keep score it may humble their HUBRIS

“Had” being the key word there. How does one go through a boxing career like Marcianos with bad balance? You and others refuse to answer the question because you know I’m right. It’s impossible. He would have been knocked on his arse a million times over. He would t have had the leverage with bad balance to knock anyone out let alone the staggering amount of people he did. So either provide proof or stop telling fairytales to try and suit your agenda.

Bad balance is throwing punches missing them and falling over Rocky did it several times. He still won but good balance he did not have .

The argument about guys Marciano's size not doing well today is interesting but by the same token guys the size of Ali and Holmes have not done well recently either. Does that prove that anyone picking Ali or Holmes over Tyson Fury is a delusional idiot?

Also, the argument that Marciano's era sucks seems to be contradicted by the fact that we have multiple examples of contemporaries and near contemporaries of Marciano beating guys from later eras.

Eddie Machen beat Jerry Quarry as an old man for example. What does that say about Quarry's era?

Ali and Holmes are top 5 all time heavyweights imo,who today their size fits that bill?
Prior to the onset of the Cruiserweights, when was the last time a 5 feet ten and a half 185lbs man was top ten ranked?
