I think Marciano stops all of them ...these aren’t huge heavyweights...and their not slicksters either
William, I think you over-estimate many of the contenders from the '60s. Marciano wears down all of them unless there's some kind of freak injury.
Actually I don't among these ones. I do think Marciano would beat all of them. However, I don't think he would beat either Chuvalo or Bonavena in 5 or less. I'm not even sure I think Quarry would go in 5 or less.
Rocky's style being tailor made for Quarry might have something to do with it. Rocky was slow, sloppy, uncoordinated, and threw his punches from left field. Quarry would counter punch him to death.
I think he decisions Bonavena, and has an ATG slugfest with Chuvalo which takes year from both their careers... and ends with Marciano standing tall.
I think these guys would have made excellent challengers for Rocky. They are younger and bigger than Charles Walcott and Moore. But I don’t see Charles Walcott and Moore losing a fight to either one of them since neither Bonavena, Chuvalo or Quarry actually beat anyone as good as Moore, Charles or Walcott.
Not that I don't agree w/ u here, but this just occurred 2 me. Rocky beat Walcott, Charles, and Moore. All three excellent counterpunchers.
