Thanks for the info that's interesting even though i'm a fan of Holmes I don't think Weaver warranted being in the top 10 at the time personally. I know he beat Mercado aswell when he went on his little win streak but is that enough to get into the top 10 ? Highly debatable.

I think in regards to the Weaver win I rate it quite highly as Weaver seemed to peak vs Holmes and then shortly after he had a very impressive run so it's one of those wins I rate more highly due to hindsight.

I had a lot of time for Weaver and, as you mention, it was really his run after Holmes that caught the attention.

Prior to the match with Homes, Larry was taking a fair bit of flack for giving Weaver the opportunity but, like yourself, I think the win should rate highly, despite the relevant ratings at the time (and now there's another piece posted by @SolomonDeedes reporting that Weaver was ring-rated at #10).

I hope when the The Ring comes back online (in whatever format that takes) it has its digital content restored, including the 'To Be the Best...' series.

If he beat them all, I would say that he is p4p the greatest.

He could be 55-0 and called p4p tbe.

I don't think its a question that he ducked anyone but that he prospered by the age, size and quality of who was there to fight in his era ... that plus he was very smart and got out at the right time and kept to it ...

Even resumed based it can be an imperfect science for sure. I have Holmes and Lewis pretty close usually. The forum overall usually does too. I have no doubt that any lists you do produce will be well researched and lacking any bias........unless, well....
