Both boxers had a total of 6 successful title defenses. Let's let them fight against each other in chronological order.

Jersey Joe Walcott II (from1953) vs. Tommy Jackson
    Roland LaStarza vs. Pete Rademacher
Ezzard Charles I vs. Roy Harris
Ezzard Charles II vs. Brian London
Don Cockell vs. Ingemar Johansson III
Archie Moore (from 1955) vs. Tom McNeeley

What do you think about the outcomes?

Just saw that we are talking about the Walcott of the second fight.

That detail perhaps throws a bit of a question mark over that one.

That Walcott was done like toast. He's not winning.

With the exception of Johansson Marciano’s list run a clean sweep.

I mostly agree with what the others have said so far. We have to guess about Walcott of 1953. I'm guessing that even Walcott of the second fight wins over Jackson since it's not Rocky in there with him.

    Difficult to say.

He might have had more left than that performance would suggest.

As for Jackson, he is hard to get your head round.

Some people said he was awful, while some said that he was technically underrated, but it is inescapable that he beat some very capable fighters.

All but Cockel knock Floyd kicking inside 10.
Marciano goes thru Floyds like easy.

At his best Jackson was a motorized windmill punching machine. Almost nothing could stop him. He just kept throwing punches and he could take them until the cows came home. I wouldn't be afraid to bet $20 on Jackson. I think he'd have too much energy for a 38-year old Walcott. My only caveat is that Jackson may already have started going downhill just before he fought Patterson for the title. But a 1954-5 Hurricane beats "Poor Old Joe," I think.

Of course not, the rematch ended in round 1, on May 15 1953.

With the exceptions of Jackson and Ingo, I pick Marciano's challengers to win easily. Walcott-Jackson may be a tough call, but the more I think about it and based on performance I have to go with Jackson.

a peak 1959 Ingo vs Charles or Don C. would be interesting.

I don't see Jersey going much further against Jackson tbh.
Maybe not a first round Ko but Jackson gets him.
Imo? Walcott was destroyed physically and mentally by Marciano.
Any half decent heavyweight beats the 1953 version.
Which is sad, cos he was a brilliant fighter.

The only matchup here where I’d favor a Patterson contender is Ingo over C0ckell. Team Marciano win the rest
