Tough break today. LIke most of his losing endeavors, his reluctance to "put his foot on the gas" did him in. Damn shame - he's a good guy.
I actually thought he was putting in decent work and pressing the action for a lot of the time, and could see him putting a hurting on jason in the later rounds. Too bad it was stopped early
It was a pretty good back and forth scrap...It wasn't a given that Rocky would've sealed the deal in the final rounds though because he was landing some on Litzau and Litzau handled his power better than I thought he would. Litzau clearly wasn't the same after the butt (could tell his vision was affected) and Juarez did take the resulting 7th round, though. I'd have liked to see if he could've finished Litzau, and I wouldn't mind a rematch at all to settle it. As far as actual robbery goes, however, I wouldn't call it that by a longshot. Litzau actually fought a pretty mature fight by his standards and was winning a close one.
John Ruiz was in an entetaining fight. Sergio Mora was in an entetaining fight. Jason Litzau demonstrated a decent chin. Yep -- You're right -- We're in bizzarro world!
