Willard - Wins KO Carnera - could go either way Foreman - Loses Buster Douglas - Loses Bowe -Loses Briggs - the version Lewis fought was fast and very powerful but with stamina issues. Briggs could win early but if Marciano gets past the first few rounds he wins. Not really fair as Marciano is much smaller and Briggs is a blatant roider. Lewis - Loses Rahman - ahhh I don't like this one another average boxer who's a probably a roider. Rahman could outjab him like he did with Tua or land that big right. Or Marciano could do what Tua was doing when it was stopped prematurely. You'd really want to roid Marciano up to level the playing field. Vitali - loses Wlad - loses
Assuming we are talking about 15 rounds. vs Willard Points win for Rocky Vs Carnera TKO for Rocky in the mid rounds vs Foreman, I like Foreman early Rocky late, but I would pick Foreman via TKO inside 6 rounds vs Douglas. Rocky UD vs Bowe. Bowe TKO 12 vs Lewis. Lewis TKO late vs Briggs. 50/50 vs Rhaman, Rocky TKO inside 8 vs. Vitali. Vitali TKO 9 vs Wlad. Wlad TKO 10 4-4-1
He beats a few of them but probably loses to at least half or more. Not really a fair matchup though. He belongs in a separate weight class to those giants.
I wouldn't go that far, Willard lost to plenty of no name LHWs in his prime so I can't see Rocky losing to him. He could probably do this to Briggs [YT]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJUBEEuTikQ[/YT] Carnera is pretty easy to hit too and went 1-1 with Sharkey Douglas if he shows up like he did against Tyson and McCall wins but if he doesn't take it seriously he loses. Rahman lost to Ruiz and Tua (unfair?). Still putting him in with some who blatantly take steriods while he doesn't is an unfair disadvantage.
That's something I've not considered. I've always thought Rocky doesn't match up well because he has never beaten anyone of that size. But if someone has lost to someone of his size that surely counts.
Beats Willard and Carnera. Could beat Douglas on an average night but Tokyo Douglas would starch him. Briggs had about 2 rounds of stamina so he'd probably beat him too. That's it.
Touche, but I was referring to his prime losses not his past prime losses :hey You're right about him being outpowered as he was but under modern conditions he could pack on 20 or 30lbs and be more competitive. BTW did you check out Aldis Irish Whisky, it's much better than the standard Jameson's
Do you reckon he could do a Tua with his frame? I've not been in an Aldi for a bit. The latest Irish I bought was Teeling Single Grain. I'm gonna buy a bottle of Redbreast on payday, maybe a bottle of Haig Club as well. Have you ever had Amrut? It's meanta be an Indian Whisky that tastes a but like dark rum, I'm quite intrigued
He could possibly do a Tua with weights, protein and maybe some legal or not so legal anabolics. The HW boxer I think he compares to is Toney. Skill, power, short, slipping skills while moving inside. The version that fought Holyfield/Jivov. Haig Club is ****e mate. Amrut is meant to be pretty good, let me know what you think of it if you try it
You boys are into your Boxing and Whiskey? Well I'll be damned... Any recommendations around the £30/£50 range?
What good would "packing on 20 or 30 pounds" do to a guy who was already very slow of hand and foot, and who relied on pace and flexibility as two of his major assets? Not too mention, with his small frame and dwarfish limbs, there wasn't a whole lot of room for beneficial muscle mass.
