Styles make fights obviously. Two Middleweight Champs I enjoy watching alot. How does this play out for you?
Wow, that's crazy. What a good fight this would be. I think I'll pick Turpin maybe to just about out-monster Valdez down the straight.
Turpin could be hurt and Valdez could do some hurting but I feel that Randy is just a bit more proven and at his best would bank on him to win. Great match-up. Would have been a helluva fight.
After looking at both men's careers I'll go with Valdez, they were both the same height and Turpin would have a 4 and a half inch reach advantage but in this fight I doubt it'd make any difference. Turpin of course had that stunning win over Robinson before getting stopped in the rematch. He also dropped one to Bobo Olsen. Valdez had 3 wins over Bennie Briscoe , wins over Vinnie Curto and of course his epic fights with Monzon. Any guy who could hang in there for 30 rounds with Monzon gets the nod for me in this fight,,not confidently though.
I like Valdez here myself in a war. I think Valdez is a better boxer and carries more power with shorter punches. Really love watching Turpin though. He really goes out there like he just caught you robbing his house!
