That was some of the most sissyfied ground and pound that I've ever seen after Rodriguez dropped Stephens with that bodyshot in round two. Stephens is lucky that Herb Dean wasn't the ref lol.

Weidman needs to retire, at the weigh in he looked small compared to a real LHW, just had his chin touched and lights out.

Weidman has zero resistance. He is the MMA version of Roy Jones.

Wow, what a disaster for Chris Weidman. This is a great example of how relentlessly lining really dangerous matches can drive a career into the ground. This guy was so talented: I don't think anyone has combined folk-style wrestling and BJJ quite the way he has, and he used to have a great chin and good hands. His stamina was always a liability, but for a long time that was his only real weakness.

But ever since Rockhold pounded his brain into oatmeal it has basically been one nightmare after another. It was pretty much career suicide fighting Mousassi after two vicious losses.

I was hoping he would retire after getting his lights shut off against Jacare; the poor guy has kids for crying out loud. Let's hope this is a wrap. I suspect his buddy/brother in law, Wonderboy Thompson will pick up one or two more losses soon and also call it quits.

I also want to say great job to Reyes. He had a hiccup against Volkan, but that counter left was beautiful. I wouldn't mind seeing him get another fight in before meeting Jones. The guy would benefit from more time to polish his grappling, and Thiago Santos would be a good test if Santos wasn't grievously injured.
