how are they bad trainers, floyd sr trained a ten time world champion. the guy is a great trainer, and if you can follow his instructions then you have a better chance of winning than if you don't.

roger trains a fighter who has never been beaten, a fighter who has won 6 world titles in 5 different weight classes. how can you say that they are bad trainers?

Yeah but traing Mayweather is like trying to coach the Oakland Raiders. They're a lawless team that is imposible to coach. Floyd won't let anyone train him he practiclly trains himself. Selfishness runs in that family

mayweather sr is the worst trainer - jr fights well in spite of his dad

the guy is classless, disrespectful, he creates chaos, discord and negativity, he turned DLH, a talented boxer/puncher into a shoulder rolling suckfest

that doesn't mean that hatton doesn't suck, just that having sr on your side is asking to suck a whole lot more

Completely agree Hatton was his own worse enemy and because people dislike mayweather sr there blaming him. Even the move which KOed him was mentioned in the 24/7 while they were watching Pacaman train so he should have known what was going to happen. You can't blame the trainer if the fighter doesn't want to follow what you've told him to do.

From Steve Kim's report on Boxing to the max - Snr is an even bigger dump muncher than we thought:

    NO JOY

There was a lot of talk about friction in Hatton's camp that centered on Floyd Mayweather Sr. and his inability to get along with the rest of the camp. What I found very interesting - and disturbing to be honest with you - was that after the fight as I moved my way along press row to the aisle where the fighters make their way back to the dressing rooms, while Hatton groggily walked to the bowels of the arena, he was not accompanied by Mayweather Sr.

In fact, Mayweather Sr. wouldn't make his way for another 10 minutes or so. And as he did, he was taking pictures, signing autographs and smiling the whole way as if he didn't have a care in the world. Is this the way someone should conduct themselves after their fighter was savagely knocked out? And no matter what he says, he was in that corner and in fact was introduced by Michael Buffer, in a first. You may have had disagreements with Hatton and his team in the lead-up to that fight, but doesn't he deserve more respect than that?

If he was so willing to accept all the plaudits for his fighter’s victory and then call out Freddie 'the Joke Coach' Roach (as he calls him), then shouldn't he be willing to accept at least some accountability for what took place on Saturday night? I happen to get along with Floyd Sr., but in this instance he was completely out of line. As they say, when you point fingers, three of them come right back at you.

I always thought that this was a rather strange union, Hatton and Mayweather. Not only from a stylistic perspective of boxing, but also from a personality standpoint. And was it just me, or did anyone find it a bit strange and unsettling that on 24/7 that Mayweather had no problems in making a 'run for the border' and grabbing some Taco Bell and being tardy for his training session with Hatton? If he would do that while the cameras were on him, just how many times was he late before and after?

I was told that Oscar De La Hoya was infuriated by the results of the fight and had some harsh words for Mayweather Sr. afterwards in the dressing room.

Floyd Sr trained a 10 time world champion?
LMFAO, De La Hoya was De La Hoya long before Mayweather Sr came along.
At that point in De La Hoya's life, Floyd the Barber could train De La Hoya and still get the same results.

Roger trains a fighter who has never been beaten?
Mayweather Jr pretty much trains himself,
Roger just talks BS to him and does pad work......

    Floyd Mayweather Sr once said........
''Roger ain't a trainer, hes just a pad man.
I made little floyd who he is''

floyd sr played a big part in delahoya's career. i think his first fight with delhoya was the TKO win over gatti. sr led delahoya to victories over campas, vargas and mayorga. in these fights delahoya was at his best. and your debate doesn't stand up, look at the delahoya pre mayweather (mosley I), and then look at the fight when mayweather was there (mosley II). mosley might have got the nod but if you saw the fight then you would know that oscar won the second fight wheras in the first he was totally outclassed.

just because you don't see it doesn't meen that roger doesn't train and tell jr the mistakes he is making. the only bit of training of mayweather that you see on the 24/7 shows is when he is doing his pad work. they don't allow them to see the sparring, that's when roger puts his views across on what mayweather needs to do. look at the fight with castillo, because of roger's input floyd took the last couple of rounds and won the first fight. in the second fight roger made sure he never made the same mistakes, they came up with a game plan and outboxed castillo for 12 rounds.
