Over at the 'Scene Roger says Floyd isn't retiring as does a source at Golden Boy.

Then again Roger didn't seem to be aware Floyd was retiring last time...it might have been Floyd's way of saying 'I don't want to answer that question'

Void wants to beat up another woman, so does Roger. Will Roger go to prison?

Void, Sr. let the cat out of the bag right after Pac stopped Cotto.

If Floyd stops fighting obviously Roger and GBP don't make money off him.
Maybe Floyd was just having a laugh saying he's taking 2 years off in that interview (tho he said pretty much the same in another interview after the Mosley fight).
Or maybe it is a negotiating tactic to hasten Team Pac back to the negotiating table and to agree to his terms.
In any case, even if Mayweather wants to take time off, I can imagine Roger and GBP would pressure him to go on having much to gain.

Me thinks Pac will retire Void by knockout, but Void will never fight him. Check out what Void, Sr. said after Pac stopped Cotto!

Poor Floyd. He just doesn't have any credibility that whatever he says cannot be taken seriously. He said he is taking a couple of years off but no one wants to believe him. But Uncle and GBP has more credibility because they said that Floyd is not retiring and everyone believes them.

So, why didn't he just say that? Why didn't he just say, "we'll see what happens"?

Yep . I'm not buying any of this until FLoyd says something . Fact is he made that statement just a couple of days ago. I'll trust him over Roger and some "source" from Goldenboy.

floyd has no advantages over pacquiao if he retires and then comes back. he's basically near hte same age as pacquiao, the difference is pacquiao would of been active and floyd rusty.

I've said this a fews times over the last couple of days...

People never usually believe a word that comes out of Mayweather's mouth (including myself)...so why start now all of a sudden?...you can't just pick and choose...

Because it's the context of the things he says.

Most things are self-promotion. Eze made the ridiculous point that people laugh at Mayweather saying he's better than Robinson and then believe him when he says he will retire, which is a contradiction. You either believe him or not, right? No.

It's the context of the things people say which counts. When he's talking about his career options, he is going to tell the truth. When he's promoting a fight, he's going to lie. It's as simple as that.

You have to be selective about the truth and lies but it's not hard to see. Do I think Mayweather will retire? I'm not sure but I do believe he wants to. The only question is whether he can afford not to fight and how much GBP can do to force him into a bout.

I find it hard to believe that you guys took what FMJ said about retiring seriously... let it go until we know for sure, your all getting yourselves worked up for nothing.

I don't agree with this...when he's talking about his career options, as in who his next opponent is, retirement etc? He pretty much said Mosley wasn't an option. He said he was retiring after De la Hoya...yet fought Hatton.

The guy lies constantly...he avoids questions like the plague. He has seemed very reluctant to answers questions about Pacquiao whilst at the same time pointing out that Pacquiao doesn't want any of the blood tests.

After the Mosley bout...I think it may have been in the final presser, or in a random interview afterwards. But Mayweather said near enough the same thing when asked when and who he is going to be fighting next, but no-one seemed to pick up on it. He said he may be taking a year or two off from the sport...yet after that it has been known that both camps have been negotiating for a late 2010 bout.

Mayweather will beat pac and then retire for a few years.
