Do you realize that standing up in the Octagon is a totally different game than the boxing ring?

Because clinching.. elbows.. kicks.. knees are all allowed and encouraged?
Before you even get into punching range you have to deal with leg kicks. You may not know it.. but thats like someone taking a bat to your thigh.

And you have to worry about being TAKEN DOWN.

Pure boxing doesnt work in MMA.. period.. end of story.
No one has ever proved otherwise.

Cotto would smash this ****er regardless.

Huerta wouldnt even have the balls to trade jabs with Cotto.

And what, u think it takes years of experiene to clinch and knee some ****er.

Before you said no one could even STAND with him, now you wanna add this ****.

Thats like saying "what.. you think it takes years of experience to learn how to punch someone in the head?" referring to boxing.

You don't know what youre talking about and youre making yourself look stupid.

MMA always takes unneccessary shots at boxing and has done so to as a marketing tool to dismiss boxing as not being tough as mma how mma guys are real warriors boxers aren't tough like mma guys etc. Rogan and Dana White and many other mma fanboys have long said boxing is dead it will die only old people like boxing so its ironic boxing had a huge end of 2007. Can't wait to see the ppv sales for mayweather vs. hatton:D

Thing about mma is sometimes i see a guy who was a college student took up mma and is now in the UFC. Top boxers have been honing there craft all there life mma is far easier to make it in strictly based on the talent pool.

Clinching is NOT part of boxing, douche. A boxer has no idea what a real clinch is.

When a mauy thai practioner grabs a hold of your neck you are ****ED if you don't know how to get out. There's no ref to save you.

OMG, a real clinch, you mean a boxer has no idea to wrap his hands around an opponents neck and pull down? :conf The concept is simply to hard to grasp.

Cottos left hook and uppercut will stop a clinch in a second ******.

Get outta here with your bull**** *****, no one wants to hear it.

What does that video prove? Frankin hasnt even been in the game long. ***** was a teacher. hes not a polished fighter.

He doesnt even have decent strikes. And Silva isnt Huerta.:-(

So quit acting the he would owe cotto standing up, when he has no ****ing chance, even with weak kicks.

    ****ing idiot

    ok dude.. whatever.
you can't get through to the brain dead.. so i'll stop trying.

Claiming a boxer to be the best standup fighter is like claiming a one legged man as the best runner.

He's only got one leg.. but damn is he good with it!

***** i didnt say that. i said Cotto would ***** slap Huerta.
not any boxer would do that to any MMAer, dumb****.

Reading comprehension is not your friend apparently.

Just because he has more tools doesnt mean ****. He is no specialist and is only decent at all of them.

Its just like i heard someone say on this board "MMA is like the army, but Boxing is the special forces.." We specialize in something and do it extermely well, while you guy do alot but not with the proficientcy.
