Is Floyd laying the groundwork for an excuse if Shane whips his ass?

Floyd said that Roger is slowing down and it has him concerned.

Just speaking the truth or is Floyd getting that on tape for a reason?

    Thoughts?

Nah... Floyd is in the best shape of his life.
(At this stage he prob really don't even need Roger to tell you the truth...)

He's prob just acknowledging his uncles illness.

I thought that was a little strange as well.

Saying Roger is "one of the best" and not "the best" trainer also made me a little suspicious.

I don't believe this is going to be used a potential excuse but maybe a sign that there are some problems in camp.

I guess its because he doesn't want to upset his father by saying Roger is better than him.

Jeff, Roger and Floyd Sr. are all trainers, to go on record saying Roger is the best would cause heat, probably especially from Jeff, who isn't as known/respected as Floyd Sr. or Roger as a trainer.

I don't think it's an excuse, look at and listen to Roger.

Floyd trains himself I don't think roger brings anything to the table tbh.

I never hear any words of wisdom from rogers mouth ever, the guy is full of **** and constantly contradicting himself.

Isn't it odd how all the top welters have trainers' who don't have the best health? Roger is diabetic, Nazim was supposed to be a vegetable from his stroke, and Roach has Alzheimer's d.:huh

Maybe it's just coincidence that they have and do work with the best fighters.

Roger has diabetes, it vastly weakens a man and yes will make him slow down. Floyd talks allot of ****, this isn't 1 of those many times though

Also I doubt Roger is being smart eating 7 small meals a day

+1, I think HBO put that piece in so the Mayweathers appear moar humble and human. If they came out and intentionally did nice things everyone will say it's an act. Look at Floyd, we even have boxing fans who don't have respect for his charity foundation. Can anyone name a "good boy" of boxing who runs something like that? A disease is a weakness that can't be controlled.
