The fact of the matter is, is that people have this image of Floyd hanging with "The Four Kings". Floyd would have a hard time beating them on 'Fight Night' , let alone in real life.

That is so off base it's ridiculous. Corrales was NOTHING like Hearns or even Vernon forrest for that matter. Diego actually liked it on the inside and presented Floyd with so many countering oppurtunities.

People get mixed up with Corrales, and i'm surprised someone like Danny Flexen made such a basic mistake. Corrales was actually more of a pressure fighter then a boxer puncher. He wasn't as smart as Hearns and definitely didn't understand spacing and never had even close to the similar leverage.

This is the Corrales that got outboxed in large periods from the outside by the likes of Frietas, Casamayor and even Robert Garcia and he's surprised that Floyd did and using that as his argument? Get the heck outta here!

Pryor just wasn’t on Leonard’s radar, whatever nonsense Bob Arum makes up. And you’re right, Leonard was too well-rounded to struggle with Pryor. The early rounds would have been competitive but Ray would debilitate Pryor with body shots and by the tenth he’d be getting pulled out.

 

The Leonard-Pryor thing is one of those things that gets repeated so often people think its true. That episode of Legendary Nights is to blame for a lot of it but if you Boxrec the dates you can see that Pryor was still having life and death with Arguello at 140 when Leonard retired and never fought at 147 while Leonard was active.
