Again I agree, I wanted him to take the winner of Cotto vs Margartio, but he retired, I think the reality is he wanted the dust to settle. He isnt new to this game, Why take on all the top welters when you can let them all fight each other and take the last man standing he did that, with Mosley, But make no mistake he tried to get Pacquiao as well it just didnt go as expected.

I think most fans of reason knew that Marquez was over matched, and the only thing that made this fight decent, was Mannys close fights with Marquez, and the idea of a Pac PBF fight.

the fight did sell, I mean ask yourself this, if you can **** in a brown paper bag and sell it for a million dollars are you going to throw that paper bag full of **** in the trash? No your not...

Thats what we got with Marquez vs Mayweather at 144 and thats what we are getting now with Pac vs Marquez at 144

I think your dates are a tad bit off, Floyd retired a day or two before Margarito and Cotto fought.....
Cotto has turned down Mayweather before.

aren't you aware that floyd-cotto was the biggest fight in boxing back then in the early part of 2008? floyd retired instead and ellerbe excused floyd by saying cotto is not a draw, the same guy who pulled 1.25M PPV with pacquiao in 2009.

was that Cotto's first time touching a Mill? Facing Pac after Pac faced Oscar?

What was Cotto's numbers before then?

he retired after showing no interest in the fight. boxing fans are calling for this fight back then but ellerbe has his excuse that cotto was not a draw. cotto, knowing that floyd won't fight him, proceeded to fight the equally as dangerous margarito.

while cotto-mosley-margarito-williams-etc... while fighting each other and the welterweight division was waxing hot, floyd, a welter, is fighting oscar, hatton and the big show.

Seriously you have the entire time line mixed up, and again when Miguels Uncle tells Arum that MC is not ready for a Mayweather fight, whats Floyd supposed to do? make MC sign the contract?
Be ****ing real, if Floyd fought him and beat him you would likely argue something else.
Fact is Floyd retired, a day or two before the Margarito and Cotto fight... he ducked Margaritos 8 million dollar offer, fact, but as far as Cotto there were never any offers cus MC wasnt ready.

so was what cotto's biggest number before pac faced him? and are you actually buying ellerbe's reasoning that cotto is not a draw why floyd retired instead? what is ortiz' biggest number now?

and are you denying that cotto-mayweather is the biggest fight in boxing back then in the early part of 2008?

you are the on who is confused with time. you are talking about the time when cotto was at 140 and cotto was green. but when cotto had just beaten mosley and floyd had just beaten hatton, it was the biggest fight in welterweight and the whole of boxing.

Wrong again, Cotto had signed to fight Margarito so there was no way Arum would allow that fight to be scraped...
if you wnat to talk about who Floyd ducked your only case is Margarito the entire world knows that.

Now if you also want to talk ducking, Why didnt Pac fight Guzman, or Soto?
Why didnt pac win a title at featherweight? Why didnt pacquiao take the test and fight Mayweather?

if you want to talk ducking lets jam, but lets also not leave a single leaf un turned...
