Obviously those people are noobs. It's like an episode from friends where Jon Favreau decides he's gonna be the ultimate fighter and builds his own octagon. It's like old farts and their fascination with getting a Harley before they grow decrepit. TAPOUT gear is quite popular these days ya know...
Yey Hes like that with everyone when i went up to meet him in Vegas in the lobby of the casino after he knocked out some clubfighter Francisco Barra, He looked at me all crazy like wtf do you want He was ok after but hes a trip. Anyways lot of trainers are like that no nonsense type, you see that he gave his props to a couple of those guys who looked like they at least new the fundamentals, those other guys sucked pretty bad.:-(
It looked like my old bus stop in the trailer park, we were all fat white kids and there was always one black whino that slept there on the bench, and he would give us advice on how to be succesful. ahhhhh memories!
The fact remains most of these guys can't even throw a proper punch, and I like MMA as long as I'm watching somebody like Anderson Silva, who is skilled all around and does know how to throw a punch.
Roger Mayweather is no legend. He was a decent fighter and on only trained his son who is supergifted and was originally taught by SR. Roach is the much more accomplished trainer.
yeah - they ll all revert to their old ways though- in MMA- having that low to ground- wide stance is just necessary to protect the shoot- and to be in position to shoot- a high boxing guard- or a shoulder roll just isnt practicle for mma. tucking your elbows in is a death knell- the other man can just shoot you and wrap your arms to your body and skullfuk you til u tap. but yeah- overall- the way these guys hit is primitive compared to a boxer, the way they move is ugly- they re all clubbers not strikers- none of them have any snap whatsoever- no slickness. goes to show - boxing requires so much more skill and finesse. you can get away with being just a brute in mma. whereas in boxing- you really need to have skills.
i try to like mma- i really do, but watching this reminds me why i cant- its plain ****in ugly to watch. if it were like jet li and bruce lee fighting- sure- id be into it- but its two steroid monkeys wrestling for each others balls.
i agree roach is the better trainer but roger is not **** either, you just need to look at the gameplans, the corner advice he gives his fighters to know he knows whats up. plus he trains many amateurs.
