The first fight it is also know that he had an arm injury also and just as many who say Floyd loss...there are still alot who say he won.

For me the fight was close could have went either way Floyd got the nod....not a robbery as some cling to so much.

The second fight was a clear win for Floyd also. So i dont hold Cas performance in so much high regard as some....Cas had TWO chances and neither times did he win...and like i said the second fight Floyd simply just outboxed him to an easy decision...i could see if he made it another contraversy but it wasnt it was a Healthy Floyd clearly beat a very good fighter at the time.

And he didnt HAVE to make JMM the agressor...i honestly think he just wanted the rounds...Floyd wins that fight being the aggressor or fighting as he did...JMM just was in over his head period.

So with that said...Mosley who is a bit taller, longer, and fast...will pose a significant problem...PW if he stands on the outside will pose a problem, Martinez, Oscar in his prime would be a terror as he showed us that his height and reach caused Floyd some problems.

Like the other poster said...it will take a fighter who is bigger than Floyd and good length. And its not uncommon to see this...SRR...(not comparing the two fighters but it is relevant) SRR was great had he stayed at WW he has a strong chance to go undefeated even longer! However it took a middleweight to give him his first. RJJ didnt lose till he got to LH...well a legitimate loss. Its more examples but im just saying some fighters are that good coupled with certain physical advantages make it hard for guys who have to overcome those physical advantages.

Its like they say a Very good BIG fighter...beats a VERY GOOD small fighter 9/10 times.

Of course, how hypocritical. Praise someone who is no longer a threat, downplay everyone else active.

I hope these ****ers stop using Vernon's legacy for their own selfish agendas.

If you stop being Floyd's supporter for just a second maybe you can realize that Floyd saying in the 24/7 for that fight that if he got Marquez down he was going to finish him, doesn't fit in at all with what you just said that he just wanted the rounds in.

It remains to be seen whether Floyd can withstand the barrage of a Shane Mosley who isn't significantly longer and taller than he is, but significantly stronger/more powerful. This is actually the first time Floyd is fighting a top welterweight, so don't go overboard with your virtual calculations yet on his chances against top welterweights.

Remains to be seen, is the operative phrase.

Right he also said he would do this to Gatti, Zab, Oscar etc he does this often. He also said afterwards he wanted the rounds...nothing to do with being his supporter or not....im not going by what he says though because as you can see he double talks...so imma go off what i see and facts.

Floyd knew what he was doing...come on the man is selective in opponents. JMM had no chance he knew it BUT he was a good name ontop of that Floyd was comming off a layoff...why not take the rounds...its actually pretty smart when the other fighter was never a threat but still skilled enough to fine tune your skills get some of the ring rust off.

Mosley and Floyd are not far apart in terms of size so im not sure why your bringing this up. Mosley has a two inch reach but he doesnt fight rangy so it wont matter....and 2in is hardly that significant when dealing with this...in fact he had a SIGNIFICANT reach against Cotto...but Cotto's jab landed first every time....and when Cotto used movement...Mosley was clueless stood str8 up with no head moevement. This isnt even calculations...these are FACTS.

Forrest reign as a ww champion was brief but it's curious to hear that he said that, since it was to whom Shane fell.

Forrest beats Mayweather at 147. It is just a matter of physics and styles. Forrest would have 4 inches on him, plus his outside boxing style would be a nightmare for Mayweather.

Forrest was a very avoided fighter. People talk about Paul Williams being avoided, but Vernon was a better fighter than Williams. Oscar avoided him for 2 years. It a shame he never got the big fights before he had all the injuries. The Mayorga loss was a case of him taking Ricardo way too lightly.

Forrest would have widely out-pointed Floyd. He may well have shut him out.
