He isn't even the second best fighter of his generation!

 

floyd has had 3 years to go down alongside the greats by facing & beating his main competitor as best fighter of the era but his ambition is not on the same level as the greats that fought the best so for that, floyd (& pac) will never be ranked with the true legends.... & that is 100% correct, how can anyone with any love for this sport condone the shame that these 2 frauds have brought to it ? :-(

 

Roger Mayweather is higher than bat ***** if he thinks Floyd is even in the conversation of all time greats at the level of Sugar Ray Robinson. With the likes LaMotta, Fullmer, Basilio, Maxim, Graziano, Turpin, Gavilan, and over 100 other guys he beat the **** out of, I find it hard to believe virtually anyone can even be considered a suitable comparison to Robinson. For that matter, Floyd Mayweather isn't even as good as the other "Sugar", Sugar Ray Leonard, not even close. Nor is he in his prime as good as the third "Sugar"(in his prime) Shane Mosley. He's a great fighter and obviously ONE of the best going today, but on the all-time list Floyd Mayweather doesn't crack the top 10 or even top 20. Before you freak out because I said that too, take into consideration ALLLLL the great fighters that have come and gone since the 1900's okay. Think about that. He doesn't make the top 20.

and yes pacquiao is number 1 of this era. bhop is number 2. floyd has a chance to surpass them if he only took the pacquiao fight and won but floyd is too concerned with his health.

If Floyd had all those wins and was close to be 100 and 0 or even something like 80 plus and 0 including taxi drivers included in his resumé I would give it a thought but just like this, no way no how! Floyd has to embarass Manny and win a shutout, clean the SMW division by way of winning 10 to 12 rounds or stopping Cotto, then beat Alvarez, then he has to step to the MW like Marlon Starling once did against Michael Nunn and make Sergio Martinez look foolish... Then I will get back to this thread if we are all alive and kicking.

 

Floyd just doesn't make the fights to be great. He only makes the fights to be rich.
