Having Tillman in there, the same Sauerland judge that judged Reid vs Sven Fuggin' Ottke, strips all credibility from the scorecards right there. Froch really did need a knockout to win. That being said, I had the fight a draw, no issue with either man winning the fight. It was close, but the scores were a bit ridiculous.
Exactly. Froch never had a chance on the cards. That must have affected his gameplan in an adverse way as well.
Whatever if Froch was robbed, which i heard on the radio wasn`t the case,if he was, he would`ve deserved it for being outshot by Dirrel, who i though won that one.
Froch wasn't robbed. And this 'he deserved it' bull**** has to stop, Froch or any fighter who gets a controversial decision has no say in what the judges score so to blame the fighter is ****ing stupid. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Exactly. I had Kessler up 115-113, could have lived with a draw or a marginal victory for Froch, but 117-111 is just appalling. When that scorecard was announced, I thought for a second that I must have missed a knockdown when taking drinks through or something. Unjustifiably wide scorecards don't always draw as much criticism when they favour the guy that generally people feel did win, but in this case, it was so out of sorts with the actual fight that Tilleman may as well have just scored it for Froch - it would have been no less erratic! Pretty sad that substandard and unaccountable officiating is something we just have to anticipate as a factor in the outcome of fights now.
Seriously? I was watching with about 20 people and not one of them scored it for Froch, and several of them scored it 117-111 Kessler.
