Lol well Roy Jones Jr is right. Beating Deontay Wilder pretty much means nothing. Wilder is a fraud with a padded record. Tyson Fury is a fraud who only has one notable win and that was against a faded Wladmir.

If you believe Wilder is a bum you can't call Fury an atg and it's as simple as that. You can't have it both ways

 

Wilder does suck. I believe that now that his cherry is popped and he's gotta fight better opposition, he'll treat us to many more knockout specials of him taking a nap on the canvas

 

Fury needs to beat Joshua and Usyk to be considered the top man of his era.

Otherwise he is just another HOF fighter.

 

Sounds like what Tarver did to Glass Jaw Roy. Mentally and Physically bullied him including Shattering that Glass Jaw.

 

Fury has the skills but I kind of agree that he needs a few more quality wins. A win over Whyte, the AJ/Usyk winner and maybe 1 defense would seal his resume. The Wilder wins would add great depth, but not as signature wins.

Agree. but I think it was because Wilder was the only US fighter in the picture. So all Americans were bigging him up towing the line. I never rated him because he never fought anyone and only picked Fury because he thought it was an easy fight.

 

Oh and Roy isn't wrong either. resume for Fury is poor considering his attributes.
Also you can't really take that much credit for fighting the same limited fighter on three occasions.
I see some people trying to say it''s the same as fighting three different people. it isn't by any stretch of the imagination.

Wilder isn't a bum. He's a solid B-level fighter with A+ power. He's a tall, rangy, modern day version of Earnie Shavers. You cannot call a guy with that right and a decent ability to land it a bum.
