Roiman Villa Soto born 4/29/1993 is a 5'7 Welterweight with a 25-1 24 KO's record. Born in Baranquita, Venezuela and fighting out of Rosario, Venezuela. Villa, who has an awesome name, I mean... Roman Villa, that's unintentionally hilarious and badass, so he has that and the fact that he hits like a martillo de fragua, going for him. He was discovered by Argentine talent scout/manager extraordinaire Sampson Lewkowicz, the dude that discovered Pacquiao and Maravilla Martinez, so he knows his ****. He was drawn to his power, and fairly impressive amateur record, which was 138-9 and as well as being a 5 time Venezuelan national champion. Don't fret too much about his one highly debatable loss, was a SD to Marcos Villasana in Mexico, that he should've won, anytime a fight is close in Mexico, the Mexican usually gets it. However, this year he got his shot at fame and a TV spot headlining a ShoBox card, against solid prospect, and also very heavy handed Detroit native Janelson Figueroa Bocachica. From the opening bell, Villa was on his ass, battering him senseless, dropping him in the second, and causing Bocachica to spit out his mouthpiece so frequently, he got docked a point for it. He won a wide UDs and afterward said he wasn't close to 100%, but wanted to make the most of his opportunity. Now am I saying this guy is a flawless undefeatable world beater? No, not even close. But what I am saying is that he's a solid exciting relentless fan friendly iron chinned heavy handed front foot pressure fighter, a wicked brutal banana peel who's going to pull more than his fair share of upsets and is not one to be taken lightly, who could produce a few FOTY candidates in the future and is a must see guy, So do yourselves a favor and check out the tatted up Venezuelan banger in action. It's such a pity Showtime doesn't release their matches to YouTube, because none of these matches do Villa justice as much as the one agai8nst Bocachica.
That video blocked in the US. Which is fine, since I've already seen it. But, at least it isn't blocked in yours. So some people can watch it.
I really like the fact that you are posting these threads again, @CST80. He looks like a fun fighter who could make some noise! I don't think he can reach the very top but it will be a fun ride for sure.
Well you're in luck, because I did another one. Fiodor Czerkaszyn: A Shivery Sharp Steely Scalpel Slices From Kharkiv- The Dysektor Of Warsaw.
Flaco de Oro is back this weekend. Fun fighter to watch. He's an absolute beast. I think he can beat Ellis tonight. I'm not sure he will as Ellis is pretty solid and more experienced than Bocachica, also slicker but he has some habits that could get him into trouble against a guy like Villa. Villa also mentioned that he was only at 50% against Bocachica because he had only 5 weeks to prepare and missed 2 of those 5 weeks due to a problem (maybe he was sick or had a slight injury). If that was a 50% Villa and he brings 90% tonight, i think he can beat the crap out of Ellis who loves to engage and trade and also has the bad habit to spend a lot of time with his back against the ropes doing some flashy Fluid Mayweather Bull****. 12 Rounds favoring Ellis most likely but yeah ...i mean i hope Villa upsets him. Hopefully we don't see another disgusting robbery. It's pretty clear that they want Boots vs. Ellis next. Rooting for Villa. He's definitely live. But i guess in the end Ellis by UD is the most realistic outcome.
