Or whether the fight is still a #2 eliminator....I doubt it though.

this opponent is just right he should have face a decent amount of B level fighters prior to a title shot. The division he currently in has weak champs anyway, he's got a 90% chance of getting a belt soon enough

Do we know for sure that it was Rojas who backed out? Rojas was a big step up for Gamboa

It could very well have been Gamboa's management who decided Rojas was too dangerous at the moment.

Yeh theres no way this will be a title eliminator anymore. I have a bad feeling that Gamboa is going to turn into the next Guzman; back luck and no one wants to fight you

    Seeger???? :patsch :-(

Why Seeger? This guy is coming in from two straight loses. He was KOed by Ponce Leon in 2006, made one fight in 2007 and loss via UD.

    This is a crap fight!

Gambo by T/KO before the 6th.

Gamboa is probably titlist level now. He should just grab a belt, defend it a few times for experience and then start going after the big boys.

Anyone would want to get in the ring with Pac tomorrow simply for the payday

and i'm not questioning Gamboa's heart, but Rojas is not scared of anyone either. Its the managers that are worried about who their guy fights, not the fighters themselves.

Maybe Gamboa's management thought Rojas was too big a step up right now, but maybe not, i'm just saying its possible

According to Joe Tessitore, Rojas had legal problems. My guess is he had problems securing a visa.
