Rokhman Akhmetkhanov vs. Alexandr Zhuravskiy & Edgar Ghukasyan vs. Ricardo Rubén Villalba II RBR

Well, there we go. Edgar Samvelovich "Electric Scooter" Ghukasyan has captured the belt and canceled out that DQ loss.

I doubt anybody is going to be clamoring for a rubber match to settle the score.

 

There is still an exhibition left, which I guess is the actual main event... Denis "Big Daddy" Vildanov vs. Max "Ax" Shcherbakov... but I'm not sure how interested in that I am. All the press for it in Russian media makes a major selling point of the claim that the pair boast the "biggest biceps" among Russian combat sportsmen. So silly.

 

They're showing Shcherbakov and Vildanov getting their hands wrapped earlier. These are BIG boys. I'd guess 150kg each. If you were picturing a Mr. Universe physique when I said biggest biceps among Russian fighters...nope. These are straight-up bears.

 

They have Max "The Ax" holding a literal ax over his shoulder; this is pro wrestling tier campy.

 

I take it back, Shcherbakov shirt off doesn't look anywhere near that big. 250lbs maybe, much more muscular and slimmer than Vildanov (but still not shredded) who is built like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.

 

They have a bunch of girls in skater clothes and boxing headgear come out and do synchronized hip-hop dancing for Vildanov's entrance. Wtf kind of fever dream is this?

 

You could feed an entire tenement full of impoverished families just with the meat harvested from a mastectomy on Vildanov.

 

Shcherbakov has a face tat so you know he's bad ass. Or crazy. Or both.

 

Wow, damn...Vildanov swarmed early with Shcherbakov covering up and looking panicked, only to rally with a shoeshine on the body and HUGE right hand on the chin that decked Vildanov, leaving him like a turtle flipped onto its shell unable to rise.

KO less than half a minute into the 1st round.

 

Dmitry Kudryashov had said this would be a don't-blink affair and that he leaned toward Shcherbakov landing big first for the win.

Guess he wins the battle of sideshow exhibitiom match prognostication against his fellow former CW titlist today (Drozd, who incorrectly thought Djone would befuddle Slashchinin)
