Fury would be leaning all over Lastarza and Roland would be exhausted after 6 rounds and retire with a bad back.

I'd take Fury to outbox Lastarza...

Apropos of your post on my Marciano v Wilder thread.
Who had Fury beat when he faced Wlad?

He didn't beat much..it was the Wlad performance I'm going by here...and prior to Wlad/Fury, I thought Klitschko would win between 9-11. But Fury despite the criticism did the job and won the title. His size and speed would be difficult for the boxing style of Lastarza imo.

Lastarza fighting today might be as heavy as Cunningham. Fury fighting in the 1950s might be only as heavy as Ernie Terrell.

So the winner could be who ever you see winning a Terrell v Lastarza fight or a rerun of Fury versus Cunningham.

True, but fury beat Wlad, and we have to respect that.

Does it need to get anybody anywhere ?
It's a pick between two heavyweight boxers.

Its Lastarza as he WAS against Fury as he IS.

For future reference I don't do," what would X have weighed today or any other hypothesizing ,all my match ups are as WAS.

Did you think that this match was important to the order of the fantasy division, or were you just curious?

    Seems a bit silly.

The two guys lived years apart so I don't think it that unreasonable. Fury is 100% a product of this environment today. Lastarza was a product of any environment before 1986 or so. Suggesting either meet under the standard of each other's era makes them entirely different fighters. Good ones but different.

It's not unreasonable to suggest any Superheavyweight would be different in the past because generally that sized men was different in the past. Certainly less successful. Training just did not get the best out of them. Traditional methods did not make or develop an effective superheavyweight until very recently in boxing history.
