Seems to me like it would be an interesting fight. Both have great jabs and while Foster hits harder, LaStarza seems tougher. Can't make a choice right now; probably a chess match of a fight.
Through two extended bouts with Marciano, LaStarza kept his feet through dozens of punches which would've taken the spindly BF out. And Bob's own power evaporated completely when competing against even small HWs like Doug Jones who steamrolled right through BF. Jones and LaStarza were the same height, reach and weight. We're looking at Zora Folley-Bob Foster all over again. College boy LaStarza gives the Albuquerque Sheriff another boxing lesson. When Bob couldn't hurt a guy or stand his ground rather than being forced to retreat, he couldn't win. Keep in mind that LaStarza may have come closer to handing Marciano his first defeat in their initial meeting. (This was the only SD win of Rocky's career.) Do you think there's a snowball's chance in hell Bob Foster ever could've somehow lasted 20 completed rounds against Rocky Marciano?
