This board seems to agree that LaStarza could lose to the 50 pound heavier Tua.

Surley, decapitating a man 50 pounds lighter would be as impressive as Marciano's win over a man equal in size.

So, how about in fairness LaStarza takes on a great champion just 30 to 40 pounds lighter. Does LaStarza match Pac and Mayweather's incredible wins?

    Depends.

If this fight were deemed a "heavyweight" fight, I'd have to favor Hatton.

When the label of heavyweight is applied, all normal laws of physics are cast out. This is also why great Cruiserweights are given practically no shot vs historical heavyweights, despite modern Cruisers routinely being the same size (or larger) than their historical heavyweight counterparts.

If the fight were instead contracted at the Cruiserweight limit or a 190 pound catchweight, my decision changes to LaStarza by homicide.

Hatton is dangerous and a name, this could be LaStarza's greatest win.
