Nonstop arm pumping by Robles. Mostly sawing away on González's facade with light uppercuts. González is trying his damnedest to put some torque on body hooks, but you can tell he's tired. Robles is also not giving him any reprieve, with jabs and flurries in his grill whenever he isn't actively blocking. Robles using his long arms to lever González off his chest and set up big hooks.

Round 9

González is getting clapped upside the head with light but persistent shots from every angle. González laboring to weave in the pocket and set up a right hand; before he can pull trigger Robles is slamming a left hook into his cheek. Robles ducking side to side and slamming his shoulder into González to disrupt his attempted combos. Robles blocks a couple of jabs, then eats one as he opens up and nails González with a three piece. Heavy uppercut on the body from González. Series of chopping rights by Robles. They hook together, flurry by Robles.

Man... they had some intern frantically put together as flattering a highlight clip of the 9th round as they could, and it was just González throwing a bunch of blocked shots and getting clipped with a hook.

 

Round 10

González is giving his all, but he can't budge the younger & stronger Robles. Anytime he's able to gain a few steps of ground, Robles turns it around with shoulder-slams and extended flurries. González coming in with repeated hard 1-2s, and Robles whipping counter hooks at the side of his head. Both with arm punches on the body, exhausted. González tries a jab but lets it limply sag halfway to target. Robles jumps in and slaps him up and down from waist to neck. Both miss a flurry at point blank. Right on the body for González, grazing. Robles swings in an uppercut and lands flat on the top of González's head as he's charging in.

I'll be shocked if we get a fair decision here.

This event is part of a celebration of Nicaraguan independence, and it's taking place in a stadium named after Alexis Argüello. Robles winning could very well mean a riot.
