No, this one should start around 10 or 11pm here. So in all likelihood, it'll be off around the normal time.

Different strokes for different folks. Doesn’t make UFC any more inferior to boxing as a sport. They’re both combat sports that have different appeals and appreciation. I prefer boxing myself but I still respect and appreciate UFC.

This - I'm a boxing fan through and through however every now and again do watch UFC. I get the attraction of the sport - as you say, horses for courses.

Exactly. It’s like comparing different music taste. I can’t stand one someone trashes on one genre of music just because they’re bigger fans of the other. They all have their appeals on certain audiences for a reason. Same goes with boxing and MMA.

    My predictions.....

If the same Lara that showed up against Warrington shows up tonight, Sanchez is screwed. If he takes this lightly, he might have a rough night, but still pull off the win.

Valenzuela came in on very late notice against Alexis Rocha, who has an excellent chin and came within a hair of stopping him. He badly rocked Rocha with an uppercut, and proceeded to tee off on him for the next two minutes. Rocha was in terrible shape. Unfortunately, due to the fact that he hadn't had a full training camp, that effort gassed him out, and left him a sitting duck until his corner decided to pull him out. But with a full training camp, he could be a nightmare tonight for Cissokho. Conway dropped him with an uppercut. Well... Conway is a featherfist. Valenzuela has 19 wins, all 19 coming by way of KO, he's not. CIssokho tends to not love pressure all that much, he looked vulnerable against Macias. So in Valenzuela comes in and just does what he does, keep his high guard up, bring the pressure , land left hooks to the body and looping hooks and uppercuts to the head. He could pull off the upset.

Angel Fierro vs. Burgos, you never know. Sure Fierro got the win against Machado but Machado is clearly a fragile guy, Burgos is not. It will be a slugfest, and Burgos ca still hold his own against the young guys, he went to war with both Xavier Martinez and Starling Castillo, both touted prospects. Never looked out of his depth with either. So if Fierro isn't all that, and the Machado win was just a fluke, because it could've been. Don't rule out the upset tonight.

As far as the main event goes. Sure, Roman clearly has the advantage in experience. Sure he's been at Super Flyweight longer and fought the far better opponents. It won't matter. Even though El Rey is moving up in weight, and is actually stepping foot in the ring with one of the elite of the sport. Martinez was huge for Flyweight and so the move won't hurt him, in fact, his power will probably improve. I have a feeling the forward aggression of Roman again like it did against Sor Rungvisai will backfire on him. Most of Martinez's opponents run from him for a reason. Because he hits really hard. Also, he's excellent at walking down elusive slick fighters with solid defense like Selby, Edwards and Harris, he does so with absolute ease, his footwork, angles and ability to find holes in their defense is pretty incredible. So when presented with a target to tee off on, this could be horrific. El Rey takes out Gonzalez violently in 5.

Skye Nicolson will fight on the card. Don't know if she is good, but she is pretty cute.
