Nonito has been calling out Chocolatito for years. He's even willing to go below 118 to make the fight happen. Who do you think wins?
Nonito's vaunted left hook is still sexy, so I think he'll catch and flatten Chocolatito at some point.
always said gonzalez when the chance happened a few years back. still do. donaire is crisp but gonzalez seems wayy too effective and wins rounds. though his workrate and size has been really telling. either way. awful that this is possible.
amount of days from a birthday is not what i care about. it's not so much that they are old. they are spent forces. age is one thing but these guys are just not effective. a win for either doesnt improve the pyramid and the ladder of boxing. half the problem with khan brook was it didnt matter about the result. Tito - RJJ had the same sort of effect. theres about 5 colombian middles that i grew up with all still fighting at heavy/cruiser. miranda, herrera, berrio. etc...it's not like we are seeing the comeback or reimagination of an old pro it's just going through the motions with extra steps
I think it would be a treat for fight fans as both guys will come to win and both are still above average fighters despite being long in the tooth. The fight won't stink and since both guys don't seem to be heading towards retirement, it's a fight that makes sense.
