Surprised there is so little talk about this guy. Seems like a future star, and is definately developing into the man at strawweight. What is your analysis of this guy? I think someone fast, with good footwork, handspeed and a good chin could be his worst stylistic matchup. His punches are awesome. Extremely ripping and powerful. His offense is sort of Margarito like. Much better defense though.
I've seen the name but have not payed much attention to him. what's his record looking like? Has he been tested yet?
I've admittedly only seen him fight once against Niida, but I wasn't sold on him. He did a good job to take the title from an ageing champion and it was an impressive win for him, but he doesn't look the full article. I think he's physically strong, good accumlative power and array of shots - although he seems a little bit left-hand-happy at times. I like his straight right hand though. But he seems a little bit rigid at times in lacking defense and looks wide open when he's throwing leather. His hand speed didn't really impress me either.
The shots he had to take in that fight he took well and kept piling on the pressure. I'd say his chin's pretty sturdy.
