All of a sudden , he doesnt want to face Viloria as planned but instead, he wants the winner of Ioka-Martinez... IM fine with that.. Ive been wanting to see Ioka-Gonzalez for awhile now. this matchup is a true fight fan's fight without a doubt. For me, it's a super fight!!! Imagine what a great fight it would be between Roman-Ioka! Who wins?
wow.. I heard that ESB is supposed to be this premier Boxing forum yet nobody wants to talk about potential greats like Kazuto Ioka and Roman?? Do u guys not know wsup with the lower weight divisions?? True boxing purists are all about them lower weight divisions.. :bart
Hahah, people will show up soon. Don't you think this match is more of a money fight because they are both known in Japan anyway?
Definitely... Roman is no stranger in Japan and has no problems facing Ioka over there.. IT's a super fight without a doubt.. Ioka has been talking alot lately, saying that Roman is scared of him lol and roman's nerves has been touched..
Ioka is the only fight Roman should be thinking about if he's not moving to 112. I'd love for him to face Cuello but he's at 105 right now and he's not the big money fight that Roman would get against Ioka or Viloria.
Ioka vs. Gonzalez would be great. No idea, who would win. Maybe Gonzalez, because he is the stronger puncher.
Not a bad fight, but obviously we want the Viloria fight... It's like Donaire taking Rigo instead of Mares.
Yeah, if you like Roman, and I do, then you should consider yourself lucky to get either one of those fights, I'd think. We all want to see him in with a more serious and established challenge, yeah? Bring either one on.
Roman, IOka, or Viloria.. A fight between any of these 3 fighters are gold.. Id love to see Denver Cuello into that mix..
Is he going down in weight, or is Ioka moving up? I'd like to see him fight Viloria, but if Ioka moves up to fight him, I would tell him to fight the Japanese first.
Im almost in awe by Roman just as much as the next purist out there but the fact is, despite having only 10 fights on the resume, Kazuto Ioka has already beaten much higher opposition against the likes of Yaegashi, Chalermchai, Hernandez, and Oleydong.. They are both exceptionally skilled but Ioka is more proven against top opposition..
Most Japanese fighters start fighting good opposition very early in their careers. Gonzalez has fought a lot bums. Not to say that his resume is terrible, because it's not, but it's time for him to go for the big boys.
