I think Inoue now slight favourite in near 50-50 fight. I think he naturally bigger which help, experience look different t but not as different as record say.
No matter what, the winner has a VERY good name on their resume. If Gonzalez rematches and beats Estrada, this fight could be HUGE.
If Gonzalez wins, Inoue has all the time in the world to bounce back. It could go on to be an ATG win, depending on what Inoue goes on to do.
The most impressive thing (aside from shot selection/placement and power) about Inoue is his composure... scarily veteran-like for a fighter that's essentially a boy.
If they fought in the next 4-6 months, Gonzalez by easy decision probably. Inoue looks like he can take a punch easily so I cannot see a knockout. Give Naoya a few years though and I think he could beat Roman...realistically he is the only guy who could beat Gonzalez
Easy decision? Roman is a level about Inoue, not several. And Inoue's power is crippling, which can always change the dynamic of a fight.
That's highly debatable. Roman is a top 5 p4p fighter and has tremendous power as well, and technically he's one of the best in Boxing today. I think he'd win a clear unaminous decision if they fought in the next few months. Inoue is only 21, he is very raw. He is undoubtedly incredibly talented but he is in no way ready to fight a guy like Roman Gonzalez any time soon.
Gonzalez is better right now. But it's already close. Who knows what we are going to see from Monster in two, three years?
I agree. Veterans - veterans, twenty year veterans - forget jab and bodywork when they hurt a guy. Jab and bodywork are what he prioritises when he hurts a guy. You can't teach that level of cool IMO.
It'd would be a superfight between 2 prime legit champions. Both guys are special but I think this guy Inoue does some remarkable things in the ring. If he can get a few more fights against top opponents I can see him improving to the level where he could beat Gonzalez. I won't be surprised if Inoue becomes a PPV attraction. He has all attributes to become one.
