Let's put this fight at around 2006 when Karmazin had just dominated Ouma and had lost a controversial decision to Cory Spinks in a fight that I thought he should have won. Mayorga had just moved up to 154 and won the IBF belt against Michele Piccirilo and was preparing to fight Oscar.

Who wins between the awkward and aggressive Karmazin or the free swinging Mayorga. I think their styles makes this an intriguing and fun fight.

Karmazin by decision but could see either way - Mayorga by midrounds KO.

I'm going to take Karmazin. He was a pretty underated guy that has some solid wins on his resume. He fought the perfect fight against Ouma who was beating everyone back then. I was a few rows from the ring when he fought Spinks and I had him winning that fight 115-113 but it wasn't quite a robbery because a lot of rounds were close. He walked down and stopped another big puncher in Alejandro Garcia but surprisingly was knocked out by Alex Buenema. Had he won that fight, he likely would have gotten a fight with Vargas or Oscar. Mayorga has a punchers chance but my money would be on the man that was made in hell.
